Not personally but my late father in law was at Wakey council whilst he was emerging through the ranks and counlsn't stand him. Said he was the most bloody minded and stubborn person (well it wasn't person he used) he had ever met and was only interested in one thing, himself.

The offer will be to be the BOI not Box, i expect he will be aware of it though. I guess whether it is accepted depends on them and the bidder, nothing else.

The offer to buy is nothing to do with Box.

How's about this for a continuation of the conspiracy.

Box in his position will aware of a variety of potential investors wishing to buy land for developments across the district.

He gets one and pushes them toward a potential deal and partnerships which ultimately becomes the deal which is funding Castlefords new stadium build.

On the other side of the coin, he's aware that Wakefield position is extremely precarious and that if BoI get the right buyer for Belle Vue it will see Wakefield Trinity homeless., so he actively seeks a potential buyer and steers them toward Belle Vue!

Carter said he'd received bad news as someone had made an offer to Bank of Ireland to buy Belle Vue. He didn't think anything would come of it but it's there.
He was still hoping to talk to BoI about a deal for us.

Carter said it could be posted and is now open knowledge (until I stuffed up the message!)

That's what happens when you terminate the contract it enables others to come in for the ground. If he has not been looking at alternative venues believing brinkmanship would work he had better start because I would think the BOI would be glad to see the back of it.

BoI could sell the ground regardless of whether or not we have given notice to end our tenancy.
