Can't agree. He didn't do much wrong but as he spent three quarters of his time slipping onto his backside so for me can't be classed as being very good. The lad needs some new studs.

| Quote: Willzay "Shame. He never had a chance when we only signed him to weaken Bradford. Time to move on, I hope with Collis, Paea and Sammut's wages off the bill we can bring in some players, ideally a 6 or back up 9, a centre and a FB.'"
You really are making yourself look a bigger fool than normal.
Three coaches and all have recognised what a waste of space this player really is.
I can forgive you on Agar and Webster but when one of the most successful coaches in RL history takes over and shows the guy the door after less than 10 days! It should tell any reasonably intelligent person all they need to know - but alas not you.
What's so hard to get here - he never got a chance you say (even though he got plenty) - why - because he never came close to deserving one - get over it.
No doubt now he will become one of those legends that never was who got away that you and a few others love to create.

| Shame... such an obvious pure rugby talent... Brought a smile to the face with ball in hand!
Seems clear that he never actually wanted to put his all into the club... Will be remembered by me as a failed project. A failure by the club to manage him and a fail by himself for wasting his talent!

| If Sammut was that good as in some peoples eyes then why were the top coaches not knocking the doors off the hinges at BV for his services some time ago.

| I like him (if it's who I remember). Think he has taken Godinet's place while he's been with us as they didn't want to fly him back.
I hope it doesn't mean he is replacing either Godinet or McShane but he's a good player whether he is or not.

He's got to be replacing one of Godinet, Howarth or McShane unless he's coming as a centre.
It would have been nice to have
6. Godinet
9. McShane
14. Sio
but having just signed Howarth on an 18 month contract I can't see him being replaced.
The only other combination would be
3. Sio
6. Godinet
9. McShane
14. Howarth

Nail on the head!
Some fans insist on seeing every player who leaves the club as an example of how much more they know than the incumbent coach - despite every other coach in SL also ignoring their obvious talents...

It's a tough ask for a 22 year old kid with no first grade experience to travel accross the world to come into a situation like ours. He's played a few games for Samoa but has had limited game time in them, from memory they played Josh McGuire (prop) at hooker for most of this years test. Like you seeing as we have just signed Howarth as well i worry it is because maybe McShane is on his way.

| That’s Workington relegated then.

| How can anyone say he is not a good player because we have seen very little of him but based on his previous clubs all we're disappointed to see him go. I suspect that like Collis BS had his hands tied because it was already decided that Sammut would be released.
I admire the way some on here without any knowledge can ascertain that Sammut will not improve Workington because he will. I personally believe he would of been a better choice than Miller but for reasons he was never given a chance.

| I think if B S wanted Sammut he would have been staying. It would also appear his options were limited, Workington to the end of the season is hardly a choice to be put at the top of the list.
His signing most be one st strangest in the history of Wakefield.
