I think we're about 2/3rds of the salary cap as things stand, and could be less by the time the season starts. It's backs to the wall time, and we'll need to keep a core of experienced players and hope we can find some young'uns and good'uns who have both the desire and what it takes to make their mark. In a strange way, I'm looking forward to it.

The vultures will be circling near pay day time then to save themselves a few grand. Kirmond is an international standard second row on a long contract so should get in excess of £100k if not closer to £150k but our financial position will probably be exploited. Fingers crossed he stays as we are supposed to be building a team around him and a sponsor is found.

In our position I'd say it probably/possibly is, but I'd suggest if we can keep him then that is a better option.

I would think your chairman should be pulling out all the stops to hang ont him and the fact he has turned down a big offer has to be a good start. I looks inevitable that you are going to lose some more players (from my take on your situation anyway) so you need to hang onto at least 3 or 4 of your top players to make a stand next year, and he must be one of them.

I'm not sure tbh, i think the only player we have capable of bringing in the money we need is DK the others such as Collis and Aiton just don't hold the value we would need so would be unlikely to be sold.
You could argue a point that we may need them off the payroll, but as long as we hit 3000 STs which i think/hope/pray we will, we dont need to reduce it if what i recall being said, was said.
As turbulent and concerning as things are (and they are) i think if we can scrape through this season and manage to keep the support up to the expected levels, i think next year might show a big improvement, especially if there be diggers over on that there Newmarket Lane. We can hang a lot of positivity onto that, and that is what we need right now.

| The longer the sale of DK is held off , the less cap space other clubs will/should have therefore restricting any completion for his signature therefore decreasing the fee.

| On HULL K RS forum says George Griffin leaving , Would be an excellent signing for us , I would imagine he would cost a lot less than those who have left .

Definitely the type of signing Trinity should be makng, especially as he woud count at club trained (if that still existings to some extent next year).
Edit: For some reason I thought he was a prop but it seems from the comments he's a backrow lacking in size. Trinity are pretty well catered for in that department.

Kyle Trout
BornMonday 18th June 2012 is a day Trout will always remember as he scored his first ever try in Super League at the home of the Champions, Leeds Rhinos. His size and speed are two of the second-rowers strengths as he battles to make himself a consistent player in the first team of the red, white and blue.[/i
George Griffin

I know what you mean. Looking at video footage he is about the same height as Dean Collis who is 5 foot 11 tall. Weight is probably wrong as well.Players stats should be accurate and on our website.
