| Never understood his role in the loose forward position as i dont think he has a gr8 kicking and passing game but will miss his defence .

Jason Demetriou, Tevita Leo Latu, Monty Betham, Glen Morrison (to an extent). All previous LF's, none have a decent kicking game, none have a passing game as good as Howarth in my opinion. Some have/had a very good work rate and defence. We've generally used the LF as an extra forward with little flair or creative with ball in hand.
In my mind, Howarth will prove to be an outstanding signing and has the leadership qualities required and coming from the Wigan academy has numerous similarities in his game to Sean O'Loughlin

If Shudds Midgets were playing in my garden i'd pull curtains together.: |
|
| We're gonna miss him. Nothing wrong with his passing or kicking.
I remember it was Howarth that sent a long pass out for Morton's first try, a kick through for Morton's second try at Crusaders.
there's nothing wrong with Howarth's defence.
Can't understand how some of you see how a player plays.

I guess my point is i would like to see a LF playing as a LF . With Moore making his way into the side we should look at moving Lee to loose or even Morrison . As pivots go - we really struggle in this departent .

Ngb4c has just got worse as the seasons gone on and clearly doesn't have a very good understanding of the game and the role of a loose forward. Howarth has been one of our best signings this season and is quite clearly a super league standard player and for me a future captain.'"
I can tell you with 100% certainty, I am not, and never have been, paulwalton. And the funny thing is, Uptoncat, you do actually know who I am
As for Howarth, I'm sorry, but you're wrong.

My apologies then! Sorry but I'm right about howarth. He's a great defender, good hands, good short kicking game and has created plenty of our tries. Don't know what games you've been watching if you don't recognise how good a loose forward he actually is.

| I think Howarth had a slow start but was starting to blossom in the LF role as the season was progressing and the injury game at a bad time. Heres hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

I may not agree with your opinion, but in future you should actually use examples and quantify your arguement rather than throwing out churlish remarks. This might help you

Well Rugby League World disagree's as they have him as down in their form book as 5th in the Loose Forward category!

I've suck up for you and your opinions in the past but you've lost the plot completely now. See you Wednesday you can buy me a pint and educate me on all things rugby league.
Gareth I've remembered who you are and would have thought you'd have known better

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing it's about having an opinion that makes some sense, that's based on logic, fact or has some merit in the real world.
Sometimes you're on the right path and I applaud you for having the balls to speak your mind but on many occasions you're so wide of the mark that you just sound stupid.
It's not weak to accept that sometimes you got it wrong especially when someone with greater experience, relevant professional qualifications and first hand knowledge of a situation offers up a contrasting opinion. The worst thing you can do, as Paul Young said, is even when you've seen the other side you hide you're foolishness and carry on.
Take this as me having a go if you want to but that's not my aim.

But when NGB4C comes on here and states we need an Aussies scrum half, he gets ridiculed by everyone who says we shouldn't be signing players because of their nationality. But others come on and want Kear replacing with an Aussie coach, yet no one batters an eye-lid? I actually agree with the majority of his posts.

I haven't and wouldn't ridicule him for that, the fact is we need a scrum half with a good level of ability and in the absence of there being one available in England we would have no option but to look abroad. We have Moore & Wildey but should we stay in SL next year both will still be a work in progress and would actually benefit in the long term from having an experienced No7 to help ease them through.
