I can see that side of it too. He isn’t a young player at 18 years old though I don’t think. Isn’t he 20/21?
I suppose that’s a gamble with every player and some thrive after being given the opportunity where others don’t.
Croft would be a good option too. I think Croft offers good rotation and solid back up options though for the first team. |

I never said we should discard him. It’s quite the opposite and it’s
An opportunity for him to grow with SL games. If anything it would enhance his development and nurture him better. He would still train 2/3 times and be monitored by trinity but it could be a good opportunity for him to grow and reach his potential sooner. |

A big and solid performer and metre maker. But he left the New Zealand Warriors because he was reportedly homesick, I suspect the same would happen if he moved over here.

The announcement last week about ‘immediate’ player sales doesn’t seem like it was very immediate.
Though I don’t know if true suggestions from some posters on social media are that some clubs aren’t happy that the vote was rejected for quota and salary dispensation and there’s a push for a re-vote. Suggestions that any current offers are on hold to wait and see.
Call me old fashioned but if the vote is no then you shouldn’t just repeat it till it’s a yes. Clearly a couple of the top end clubs close to salary cap want a piece to further strengthen but they should have to wait till those who have space make their plays.

I was watching Craig Harrison’s Show me the money’s channel online which said Michael Carter is helping to balance the books at Salford. It’s worth a watch, touches on Salford etc as he has a fair few players there on his books. Also said we offered Mikołaj Olędzki mega money that dwarfed the rhinos offer but he decided to stay. |

It's not that they aren't happy. It's just some said they would have voted positively if it had been just quota so have asked for a remote with just that.
I think the immediate part was just media hype. Salford had a challenge to reduce their bill. They were still working on investment to plug the gap
I think that ship sailed on Saturday though. |
