| Quote braytontiger="braytontiger"there isnt nothing coming through in cas until you get to under 13s and u12s above that they are pretty average for some reson,i suppose it goes like that sometimes.other than u16s at lock lane the 16s,15s,14s club sides are all lower division sides.'"
no reason why they shouldn't be closer, got to blame the coaches this more like down to confidence and attitude
my old school coach managed to over 3 years get us closer to the junior england champs becketts, we never beat them and never scored averaging 40 pts a game against us, he managed to instill targets to reach nowing that we would be beat and we achieved two in the last game we played them, in that final we kept them to 22 and we scored.
when the final whistle went you would of thought that we had won the game

It's a shame that St Thomas a Becketts lost focus on RL as the school traditionally produced a lot of quality players who went on to play the game at a high standard. I remember going to Wigan in the National Schools Cup and the lads we played against were telling us that they wanted anyone but STAB, such was the reputation of the school at that time.
Outwood Grange now has a growing reputation but they'll have to keep producing winning teams for a lot more years before they reach the level Becketts were at.

| cas panthers went down 12-18 to top of the table locklane, trailing 0-14 at ht the boys showed some real character to score 3 tries in the second half.a very pleasing performance with 3 key players all missing including our first choice goal kicker we had them rattled and only a last ditch tackle prevented us getting a draw has we had them hanging on.

it always is between the pair ,the coaches said after the game the form book goes out of the window.all the kids are mates again now which is the most pleasing thing has the majority go to and play for the school team, the laners will have the bragging rights but we have a home semi final at the end of the month with a full side to play and im sure we did enough today to have them worrying.

been a long time coming , i think moor were still in it in the first half until the last 5 minutes and then a couple of silly errors and hey presto 3 tries in 5 minutes game over but the moor lads kept plugging away. its not nice seeing any team get 50+ put past them maybe its gonna be cup or bust they proved last week they are ok with the top guns of div 2 but maybe without sounding patronising or indeed condescending for the good of the development of some belting players they need a rest bite do eastmoor and a few months in division 2 could well provide that stability and confidence for all involved throughout the group.
i wish them all well and truly hope a win is just round the corner except if we meet in BARLA cup or Wakey Cup Final .
still think that they have more to offer than teams in division 2 even if teams like stanley have some of the strongest players at under 12s level.

| Another good win for Stanley Rangers A U13's yesterday, over the Yorkshire Coast Titans.
Stanley put together some great attacking rugby and despite having a player who I'm sure must be the biggest U13's player in the country, the Titans couldn't contain them.
Entertaining stuff and a great result for such a new team - joint top now with East Leeds, who we play next week.
