Quote: wotsupcas "You missed out the bit where Hull should have been down to 12 men, wasn't in our pocket then was he?'"

Point of note, the video referee gave the decision on review, not Thaler. We got a very good rub from Ben i don’t think that can be in doubt. Doubt we’ll get better thia season, we really should have had that one.

Quote: Trinhomeandaway "I've viewed it numerous times and he is absolutely not square at the play the ball and that is 100% fact
If you are saying that because the video ref looked at the try and gave it then it must have been the correct decision that's OK but then can you please tell me why everyone is complaining about the sin binning because with your theory then you must agree that the yellow card was also correct because the video ref viewed it'"
I can't help it if you can't grasp the rules of the game, we have officials that made that decision, what you need to do as learn the rules of the game as its making you look foolish now

Why, he’s right. The officials didn’t take the review back far enough to see where he was at the play the ball. Lino was caught behind the play previous play the ball as such should have been out of play. The fact that he was behind Crowther at the time if the charge down is irrelevant, he was never onside in the first place. We got lucky and some would say it’s about time.

Quote: Luppylad "Really dont get some people how can it be said we played well.is it just because score was close we had all the ball and most of it in there 30,the ref did what he could for us we got alot of resets and pens.hull attacked our line twice in second half scored both times.hull really where there for the taking they played a full extra time game on sunday we have had 2 extra days to prepare.its another game lost we should be winning like the leeds game.'"

What a silly statement, maybe you've got used to the poor standard of refereeing in a lot of our games that when we get the 50/50 calls you seem to think the ref is doing us a favour and showing untoward bias in our favour, personally It's my belief that if I've nothing good to say I'd sooner keep quiet than criticise for the sake of it, you can of course take comfort in the fact your in a majority if it helps you, try getting behind the club for a change, or you could always stop watching.

Quote: Trinhomeandaway "Which is the "Non truth" ?
Have a look at the play the ball and Mason IS OFFSIDE it's plain to see,it's just they never checked that part.
As for the ref being in our pocket just have a look at the penalty count and set restart count again it's plain to see
Yes we are poor offensively but that wasn't my point.'"

You must have a different Television to me, because they definitely checked it on my tele, and as for Thaler being in our pocket, would you like to make a comment on the sin binning as against a sending off, as for your point, you don't really have one do you.

Quote: Dunkirk Spirit "Well. Both the referee and video ref, had a good look at the incident, and decided a try.'"

They also had a good look at the attack on Jowitt and though that it was only a yellow d040.gif

Overall, it was a massively improved performance on the first 4 games of the season, massively improved.
Our pack was comfortably better than theirs and Wood made a huge difference with our go forward.
Poor Liam Kaye had an absolute stinker and the reshuffle to cover Jowitt going off, I think , cost us the game.

Plenty of positives but, we need to improve our offensive play.

Other clubs have some structure and a couple of moves in the opposition half.
Apart from a drop off ball to one of our forwards, we are utterly devoid of attacking ideas, although, Hampshire's short kicking certainly caused them some problems.

If our pack can play like that every week, we will be breaking our duck soon icon_razz.gifRAY:

Think stinker is a bit harsh but no denying he made a couple of vital mistakes. Conversely this ridiculous (IMO) policy of the backs always bringing the ball out of our 20 worked better with Kaye and Kershaw playing and I think they both did it really well, making some decent yardage.

I am still annoyed at that performance. Dominating possession, an extra man for 10 mins, Hull tiring in the 2nd half (as predicted) and yet
we still manage to gallantly lose, and take more injuries back to Wakefield with us.

We offer nothing in attack, just panic rugby. It's tedious.

Thank god for Joe Westerman, who is head and shoulders above any one else right now.

This losing feeling is getting to be a permanent feeling, I am getting to the point where it's a 'meh' rather than a gut wrenching sob.

But yet nothing will change and it's onto our usual Catalans thrashing next week. Joy.

On the bright side we can not get as many key player injured as we do ,when we play Catalans next week ,because so many are out with injuries all ready

Every club has the backs bringing the ball out of their half.

Yes they do but there not 2 stone wet through like ours. What is the point of getting them smashed to bits, all game but get the big men behind the ball then maybe scoots or send them in on the front foot

You speak too much sense for thos forum pal.
Snowie quite obviously doesn't know what the ball is blown up with let alone the rules
As you say the video ref didn't go far enough back.

ok I'll humour you,
when the play the ball was made Mason was offside as he hadn't retreated the 10 metres but the ball was charged down by Crowther and that player was on side and ran past mason by a few feet the ball then went backwards, with the charge down it then puts him effectively BACK ONSIDE in which the ball was luckily bounced into his hands and away he went, do you not think that video ref see's it that way as well as professionals that were commentating at the time.
if you didn't know that ruling you do now no charge for the lesson icon_thumb.gif
