It will also take up some of the free time too many of you have to fill looking at some of the baseless theories posted on here.'"
Oh come on, we have a council leader who went from denying any responsibility to having his no 2 say there would be a ground built, whether Trinity wanted to play there or not, a HUGE white box taken from the original scheme at Newmarket, upsized (massively) and built under on adjacent land, it just goes on and on and on and on........................
All that we want is for WMDC to make happen that which was promised, following a public enquiry and not allow its
"friends" to make a fortune on the back of Trinity's mickey poor situation.
It seems clear that for whatever reason, Mr Box and co, either dont want there to be a SL side in Wakefield or perhaps want to drive Cas and Wakefield together in one stadium.

| Box will never allow a Trinity stadium to be built before a Cas stadium. He fears us.
If Wakey get a stadium before Cas, the new advantages will allow Trinity to get ahead in the district and he just won't let that happen.

| As far as I am aware, the East Coast main line isn't anywhere near the Rhubarb triangle.

| Neither is Balne Lane, and driving an access road through Kirkamgate or Wrenthorpe to service this new ground is not practical or cost effective either.

I tried this three consecutive years and it really is a waste of time unless you are contesting a marginal ward.

Fair enough, the section of railway that loops through Wakefield and Leeds before joining back up at York.
Regardless Balne Lane is a smoke screen and a complete non starter.

We have been making noise all along have we not? At best it forces them to come up with some "Alternative plan" (that will never happen) to make it look to like they are making an effort to someone that has not followed the whole saga.

Have we? The club have been publically silent for a while and I don't see the story making the press, bar the odd article from the Daily Star.

As the saying goes no news is good news I am certain the club and trust are bang at it behind the scenes. I am sure that if anyone would like to provide help then it may be accepted. The people who are most vociferous about making noise on this site could I presume form a group link in with the club and the trust. If that was required I am sure the club and trust as they have indicated before will come up with a rallying cry. In the meantime I do not think as supporters there is much we can or should do.

| I agree, I'm sure MC and the team are working very hard behind the scenes. I was just saying I don't think we have publically kicked up as much as a fuss as we could have as a fan base/club. The best thing we did was threaten legal action.

| I'm pretty sure the saying 'no news is good news' doesn't apply over a 10 year period or whatever it is now. In terms of us already making noise - I don't think writing on a forum really creates any ripples. Fair enough, there was the Daily Star articles which seemed provoke a reaction from Box and Co, and I would like to see more of these articles in the public domain. But the last one (a few weeks ago) still stated that the club 'still aren't confident that the stadium will ever be built' and the clubs directors feel the latest site proposal at Balne Lane raises questions abouts it's feasibility and is 'nothing but another stalling tactic'.
In other words - we're no closer now that we were all those years ago!
