| Quote: ball-in-hand "8th is realistic. I have based this on the opinion that 4 teams will have weaker squads than ours.
Huddersfield . Don't rate their coach and recruitment is very hit and miss
Salford. Great coach but lost their best player and a few others not replaced by same quality
Hull KR mainly recruiting from lower league apart from Shaun Kenny-Dowell
Toronto very late in recruiting . Current squad only championship standard .Even with a few big money Aussies they will take a few weeks to settle in and travelling will take it out of them although no doubt Phil Clarke will be tipping them to win the Grand Final and Trinity to be relegated.'"
We need Clark to tip us to do badly, it's only when he says that we will do well that we struggle

| Got to have 3 aims for the season:
1. top 5 finish
2. CC semi - final
3. Beat cas
2 and 3 would be okay, and if we were safe and had a shout of top 5 with 4 or 5 weeks to go i'd take that.

| As said Salford have a very good coaching set up also the guy at H K R as had a lot of success at different clubs in S L and play's good football . Just hope this season we pass the ball better ,move up faster when defending , and forwards take the ball running hard when attacking .As said I would be very happy with 8th

| Who would have thought Salford would make the Grand Final last year? You just don't know what might happen. Keeping your best players fit for the majority of the season is key for any club not just ours but we're surely due some luck after that horrendous scenario last season. 2 years of 5th suggests to me we were on the right path up to last year. We have tweaked the squad somewhat, adding some quality, let's hope we get back to the levels of 2017 and 2018 and get building something again.

Exactly but people don't seem to twig. Although nobody other than occasionally Warrington and Hull has actually broken the monopoly of Saints, Wigan and Leeds since Bradford, in the last few years Catalan, Cas and Salford have risen to challenge at least offer a challenge. RL is now more fluid than it has been since Wigan took a stranglehold in the 90's.
I can see any number of teams rising up to challenge this year and we have all the capabilities to be one, with the obvious provisos. Eventually, one team will do it and take the big one though I'd be just as happy with the secondary prize, the CCup.
Why not enjoy the moment, right now we look capable, what more can people want in November?

| We may have tweek the squad , but where's the quality.Signing players to make a squad solid yes.Apart from Green do not think ther's a signing we did not have .We needed some props and we signe one.Think we are short in a key position .Ok I know it's down to what the club can afford .Think 8th will be a good season .

You keep saying wheres the quality, are Westerman and Hampshire, not quality! Also what's wrong with the rest, Alex Walker became hot property last year, we were not alone in being interested in him. Who the heck is it that you're expecting us to sign, name some names
Also, remember Tanganoa is actually a 2020 signing we were just lucky to get him a bit earlier when Manly let him go.

| Having Tom back in the team next season will feel like a new signing, nor forgetting he's international quality.

| We had a huge pack last year and spent most of the year trying to patch them up and fill holes. Bear in mind we lost Arona for the back end of the season and Fifita injured his foot early on and went from top prop in SL to almost a passenger whilst Kopzac picked up injuries that curtailed his effectiveness for a chunk of the season. We added real quality with Tanginoa, King will continue to be the workhorse down the middle and Gwaze will have a preseason behind him. As for Crowther, he seems happy anywhere in the middle, is always in the thick of the action and incredibly has the ability to never lose his grip of an opponent in the tackle. He is another season more experienced and will continue to demand selection.
Maybe with the signings so far and our existing pack, the coach is looking to move focus from size to agility on the field.

For me CK carried our pack for the majority of last season, if he was carrying an injury I certainly could not tell.
Both Huby and England were both marked as key members of the pack and whilst we have had some really good rugby out of them unfortunately there bodies were just not up to it last season.

| On balance, I'm happy to swap Pauli Pauli, Huby, England, Hirst, Horo, Randell & Annakin for Tanginoa, Green, Wood, Westerman, Pitts, Ashurst hopefully returning fit and well from a long absence, Batchelor & Crowther continuing to build experience, strength and resilience and Gwaze & Aydin starting their journeys into elite RL.
Looking at the presumed figures, that should leave us with the power to add as the season progresses.
