| Thought you guys were the better team over the 80, just couldn't make your possession count. As much as we all love to hate brough he will do a good job for you and think you have a good half back pairing there.
No big injuries and apart from Randall's brain fart not a contentious game.
You guys should feel positive for the season.
Good to hear position be comments about the development of the ground.

| Positives:
Ashurst looked very good, came lose to breaking the Leeds line on a number of occasions
Rocky had a good game at Fullback and came into the line well
Brough showed why we have given him a deal with some good tactical kicking and some nightmare bombs (which Jack Walker dealt with brilliantly by the way)
Kopzcak was excellent and stood out from all the props on show
Negatives:
A little bit of fitness lacking - Milky's break being the prime example, where once clear I expected him to tear all the way to the line
Poor choice by Reece Lyne after running across the line and finding the gap he then failed to back himself and threw out an errant pass
Kershaw failing to judge the bounce of the ball, however he was not helped by any of the officials missing Briscoe's nudge in his back that forced the error from him.
All in all I would say a needed run out for a few players and some glimpses of what we can expect but there is definitely more to come.
And finally, much as it pains me to say it, well done to Leeds on their stadium development, the new South Stand looked brilliant (although spoiled by a band and a load of whingers screaming "forward" at almost every pass)

| Agree fordy with the lynne comment,if he’d have pinned his ears back he have made the line instead of a looping pass which gave the Leeds cover time to get across, needs to back himself more .Felt a bit for kershaw with the mistakes as he ran the ball in well but seemed to be struggling with grip .Our new recruits showed up well today and will only enhance what we already have ,particularly broughy’s kicking game .
With a few more friendliest under our belt and fitness levels up I’m sure we’ll be mixing it up with the big boys .

surely that is the first bit of training after fitness you do ? its a worry
have we replaced the assistant coach ? maybe we need a attack coach

| Think it was more of pushing the pass near the line than anything ,but the more games played with brough at half should get them all singing from same sheet .

| Quote: wrencat1873 "First up, what a cracking new stand at Headingley (south stand), that is probably the most impressive stand in British RL.
I though they'd done a good job at the far end of the ground but, that is superb, a mix of seating and terracing, with some decent facilities built in. Sadly, we can only dream.
As for the game, it was a typical Christmas pudding effort, too many players well short of match fitness (especially Big Dave, who played for some long minutes but was really disappointing).
Ordinarily, you would have expected Paiuli and Fifita to come on and destroy and flagging side.
Brough was excellent and looked hungry all game and Hampshire went well at FB and Kopczac comfortably our best forward on show.
Leeds bombed a number of chances and we were very poor in their 20 but, if we came through injury free, then its job done.
Decent crowd but a really patchy stop start game'"
I happened to be in the south stand today as I was with a Rhino supporting friend. It will be an absolute cracker once finished, although, it’d have been nice to have some running water to flush the toilets and wash my hands.

It wasn't so much lacking ideas, more to do with not being able to execute any moves without coughing the ball up early in the tackle count.
Timings will improve and the team have to get used to our new HB pairing.
Broughs kicking game is on another level compared to what we've had and both he and Kopczak impressed.
Roll on our first game down in the capital, can't wait.

| I agree that we should have converted field position into points when near the line, but, for those who weren’t at the shirt number evening I’m sure CC said that we weren’t going to be executing moves that would be used during the SL season, overall I was pleased with how we went yesterday and also credit to good goal line defence by the Whinos.

There was plenty of hot water in the taps in the bogs nearest to the Western Terrace. It's looking great in there now. You've got to treat yourself to a bit of luxury every now and then! It's a long season!
