| Since he joined the club Brian Smith has been gearing the team up to perform well for the last 7 games in the middle 8s. He seems to have helped the players make small improvements week on week with the odd exception i.e Cas game. We now have to hope he (and the players) have got it right and continue to display the same desire ,committment and skill shown in the Bradford game throughout the remaining fixtures. If so we will stay in Superleague and then hopefully the club will be able to appoint Brian Smith for 2016 2017 and support his recruitment/restructuring plans for the club as long as it within our budget

| Brian Smith once again got the best out of the lads . From the first to the last minute he was constantly in control. Early posters on the game thought it was dumb rugby to keep the game alive and not take the two on offer even the sky team could not understand why we ran it with only 2 mins to go .
The reason is it keeps your opposition expecting a kick at goal and having to get up to the challenge without a breather.
Trust in Brian, when it right to take the 2 we will.
when was the last time the opposition didn't score in the second half.

| The big question is, can we keep hold of Smith ??
Just like our better players, surely he too will receive a "better offer" than the Wakefield gig.
Obviously, it would be a massive boost to have him here for a few more seasons..
The guy is a class act.

| I think B Smiths the right man at the right time, I dread to think how we would have framed without him. Im sure he will keep the players focused and will be taking one game at a time.
We the club are very lucky to have him in charge, the changes hes made are clear for all to see.
Hes put together a team that he thinks he can get the most out of and players who will benefit from the experience. The players that have departed have been replaced with a group of players that can plug the gap on a short term basis , not even Brian Smith could put a squad together at such short notice when you think of our present and on going situation.
When the 8s are over it must be the clubs priority to keep Mr Smith so he can attract some players and make sure progress can be made next season.

| Saw on the Yorkshire Post site that he hasn't discussed anything beyond the end of this year and says he is hasn't decided. Shame if we lose him but it didn't read as though he sees himself at Wakefield but maybe waiting to see where we end up

| MC has said they have an agreement not to talk about next season until this one is over. If we get relegated i think it will be a very short conversation. If we stay up i think he will be asking for a substantial pay rise.

| From the finance article on total RL
Quote: "Less promising, however, is the prospect of retaining current coach Brian Smith for next season. League Express understands that Smith is likely to return to his farm in Australia at the end of the season.'"
