| Quote: Shifty Cat "What you talking about, we'd just scored to make it 24-10 and you kicked off and Amor was taking first hit up, on what planet would you have had the ball 10 meters from our line. If it wasn't a penalty and played on it would be second tackle on our 20 meter line.
Fact is it was a dangerous tackle, yes it was accidental but that doesn't stop it being dangerous, he made contact with his head and the ref correctly as they do in cases like this give penalties.'"
Amor dropped the ball so if no penalty it would have been Hull Kr ball.
Personally think the penalty decision was a good one but no further action as no malice/intent. To say it was "farcical" is a little over the top, a bit like Michael Dobson.

| I didn't think there was any intention to hit with the head but as said, it would have been a penalty if he hadn't intended to hit with the arm but accidentally caught him.
I wouldn't expect a big ban or anything. I'd give that SOS.

You silly sausage.

True, forgot about him losing the ball when he was knocked clean out, I'll let him off this time though.

After watching SL Fulltime last night, it looks like Chase could be in bother again; another dubious tackle, this time on Hardaker, that left the lad out cold. Hard to see exactly what happened, but it definitely had shades of Tangi Ropati all over again.'"
Agreed - dodgy tackling technique by Chase and he needs to start to get it right. Big difference though between the Ropati case last year and Hardaker this weekend was the former was deemed a swinging arm and the latter a shoulder charge.
I'm disappointed this has overshadowed a brilliant game at the weekend and a famous win against our nearest and dearest rivals but hey-ho - still celebrating. Cheers.

You do like to pick me up on semantics don't you?
I don't see a BIG difference; Chase is a gifted young man but has a habit of losing the plot when things don't go his way - the two incidents were preceded by just such an event and resulted in him taking out his frustrations by making a dangerous tackle on whomever happened to be carrying the ball at the time.
The lad needs to get some help - he's tapped.

| What a buttock-clenchingly embarassing storm this has whipped up!
The Twitterverse is abuzz with outraged Castleford fans, players and officials, claiming some kind of anti-Cas conspiracy theory and making frankly outrageous claims about the motivation of the RFL. Even Mr Tomkins, the RFL's golden boy and face of SL, has waded in with his considered and erudite opinion on the matter!
I fancy that when the dust has settled, a few people might have questions to answer about their public foot-stamping.

I think its because he's the one player in the Cas team who can win a game. Like Tim Smith for us or Dobson or Tomkins. Difference is that Chase seems to have an irresistable urge to be a bit of a thug as well. Bound to create comments on other forums!

My turn to correct you!
A thread about the 'shoulder charge,' which seems apposite given the events of this weekend.
Rangi just happens to crop up when foul play is being discussed, what with him being a nutjob and that.

Don't you mean the thread titled 'Shoulder Charge' about the challenge on Amor and as far as I can see only one Trinity fan mentioned Chase's tackle, which is relevant to what the topic is about, a little bit defensive of the rim job forum aren't you.
