| Quote: RichieWarlord "When a company goes into administration, they are still operating. The administrator has to look to see where the money is coming from, what assets there are, and what they can do to raise money. The RFL gives clubs money from the Sky deal, it is very likely that the administrators fee will be coming out of this amount and the RFL aren't losing out themselves.
The administrator will look to see if the club is in too much mess, if there are no buyers who are willing to take it on at a reasonable amount (in view of how much creditors are owed). If that is the case, they will liquidate the company, selling off 100% of the assets and pay off the debt.
I 'assume' that with Mr Glover possibly being a suitable buyer, that could seriously help the situation. If administration wasn't involved, and if TR was just selling up and moving out and selling to AG, then AG could have had all the background checks on him from the RFL prior to the sale date. That process has been vastly sped up with administration being involved, and it is a big rush to get everything done.
I do not presume that Mr Glover would have made no cuts if he had come in by now. It is right for companies/clubs to identify waste, expensive assets, and those not giving value for money. So players may still have gone, it would be up to him how he wished to run the club.
I do not think the RFL are the devils in this, I think they may have handled things differently. You have to admit that Quins/Broncos had a different scenario to ours, you have to admit that Crusaders had a different scenario to ours too. I think what people are getting a bit cheesed off is that there doesn't seem to be any perceived assistance from them.
The RFL and the rugby league community like to pride themselves on the family feeling, the looking after each other, and whilst situations like this, and licensing competition - that leads to frustration and annoys fans. When fans are under pressure due to uncertainty there is the tendency to lash out at all things and all parties.'" All valid points but I will pick you up on one point if I may.
You 'assume' that the monies from the RFL are from the normal payments from them.
In much the same way that I 'assume' that they are not.

Ok, fair enough. I can't see them 'giving' away the money to a club without it being debited from them one way or another. I base that on Crusaders having reduced Sky payments for a period of time. As you say, or imply, I could be wrong - but I don't think it will become public knowledge for a while either way. It is semantics really.

All that I have said doesn't take away from the fact that I wouldn't wish what I happening to you on anybody, And HKR fans know how this feels.

I think we can all guess the answer to that one.
It could well be that the RFL's money is all that stops you from being liquidated.
Now if you want to think that the RFL are the devils in this go right ahead.'"

Maybe you could list the 'bail outs' that London have had over the years?
And the decision to allow London to stay in SL with new owners was taken by the SL club chairmen, not the RFL.

| Mr Glover is still working very hard to conclude the deal to take over the club.
The final pieces of the jigsaw are being put in place and it is hoped to complete the deal today - but that was also hoped for on other days.
He is unwilling to comment further at this stage - not surprisingly - however he remains committed to the cause, which is all we can ask for.
Fingers, toes etc all crossed!

| Tony Smith has hinted today, in his press conference, that they are looking at helping out Wakefield by sending a couple of players out on loan.
