the only issue I take with your post is the word man , if only you knew Jiner ....if only you knew

Besides rugby, I've been involved in jr football, athletics, gymnastics and tae kwon-do, and I've seen none of the petty, childish backbiting in any of those other sports that was the norm in rugby. And that's before you get involved in the administration of the jr game, which is shambolic to say the least.
If the RFL could make just one structural change to the game, I'd want them to perform a root and branch review of the community game; it's a mess.'"
Come on soccer is awful both touchline and within etc
Dads Pushing their kids in front of others
The Alpha Male becoming assistant coach even tough hes useless
The coach a mix of Mr Baxter , Brian Glover and John Terry cos he will get jiggy with your wife
One Rich dad buys the floodlights , turf and sponsors the kits and his kid is striker
Mr Baxters Jnr plays sweeper of course and is Capt . He will be with UTD one day ...then when it don't happen he starts drinking more
Best player on team comes from a poor family is excluded from groups and rarely shoots or gets set up even if clear, if he does score Dad gives him Hi-5 . If others scores Daddies and Mummies give them £5 apart from Mr Baxter he gives £20 that's why hes never passed.
After the game no one gathers for food and drink
AND THEN THE TOUCH LINE DISPUTES AND MUMS

Absolutely atrocious conditions and I would not of like to have played in that weather, well done to all those that played in the games yesterday.'"
I really enjoyed the match , I know a lot may look at it a different way but its ages since I was lucky enough to witness such a battle . I incidentally called it a drop goal even if I got the wrong team and I was proven right on around 20mins that the Bulls should of kicked for goal. Both teams also had 1 clear cut chance to score. even in the last minute it could of been tied had the Skirlaugh 7 gone deeper on the 5th or if they had gone for goal on the 3
its overused this saying but I really do mean this its a shame someone lost on Saturday. It deserved extra time or a replay . Well done Lordy and the Stanley lads and commiserations to Ski laugh.
Also well to east Hull 14s 36-4 winners over East Leeds could of been more.
Lets keep the talk to Rugby Hull were phenomenal and showed why they are 3 points above Cas P . The only 2 clubs anywhere close IMHO West hull and Lock Lane

| what a disappointing finish to a good game today for Normanton Knights u17s who went to Lock lane in the semi final of the national cup,
having totally dominated them in the first half and even being down to 12 men due to a yellow card for holding down and going in 0-6 up everything pointed to a close game. Lock lane came out in the second half and looked the most lively and levelled it 6-6. The original ref had turned up and his replacement had a lot of us baffled by his decisions especially when one of our lads was up ended above the horizontal and even though we got the penalty stayed on the pitch, 8-6 to Normy.
Lock lane then had advantage again due to a remark made by one of our player who then was sin binned so for a second time we the lads had to endure playing with 12 men, now I'm not sure why but on both occasions the binning was ten mins, not sure my self but was told by our officials that it should of been 5 mins in junior,
Lock Lane then failed to take a penalty which could of levelled it again, anyway the pressure built and the lads again held them up on their own try line when a Lock Lane lad was hurt in the tackle and an ambulance had to be call, not sure on the injury but he got caught up doing the splits and could of dislocated his hip but there was concern that he could of torn his groin / hamstring either way the lad was given pain killing gas and was stretched off.
This left around 15 mins to play and was back to a full squad, nerves got the better of both teams and keeping a level head went right of the window and mistakes was done on both side until with only a min it or so remaining Lock Lane went in on corner, unconverted it put it to 8-10 to Lock lane. at the kick off there was only 43 seconds left so a short one was taken but failed to retrieve it back and two plays later they ran in a try through a tried and dejected defensive line to score under the post and convert it, 8-16.
very proud of the lads as this was their first defeat of the season and it was a premier side that had to inflict it, they can stand proud on the performance to lose in that way, its a shame the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats couldn't of seen this as the could learned for these gallant players today.
Well done lads

| back to winning ways for Normanton Knights u17s beating Stanningley 6-16 on their home ground and halting their unbeaten run too in the league while maintaining their own unbeaten run see's them top the league with a game in hand, this was a tough hard game in which both sides held well in defence but Stanningley was found wanting on the sides, temper flared and on two occasions saw two players sent off and two sinned binned for each side but was far from a dirty game.
What is a shame is there was a stanningley supporter was sent away from the field due to abuse to the referee, what also makes to worse is that from what I was told it was the second time in two days at the same ref seems like that person needs a ban from the ground full stop

| today it came to an end of an era with the lad choosing to finish playing,
it didn't come as a shock as we had talked a little about earlier but while he did still have is scholarship down at Wakefield but as the other day it was mentioned that the club wouldn't be in a position to offer him a place.
he has tried to regain his fitness as before his ankle injury but this was to no avail as he has found the going hard due to his size, if its not been with ligament damage its been muscles tightening causing a multitude of aches and back pains and strains which has been difficult to shake off while trying to regain fitness, he still is ongoing with the hospital as he has a chipped bone still floating and is awaiting MRI scan results which has been promised and gone by the NHS.
I would love to think that he may return but feel that's just a parent that loved watching him from the pitch side so you have to respect his decision.
So I would like to thank the Club for the opportunity and wish the present scholarship players all the success in their careers.
and thanks for the memories Lewis they was truly great

| Hopefully a good night tonight with lots of local juniors involved at Belle Vue with loads of stuff going on before the match and at half time.
My team Stanley 9’s are involved before, although I am not sure what format it will take, potentially training with the Wildcats non playing squad members but hopefully they will be having a game or 2 instead.
I have to say despite some comments about winning and losing at this age on here the lads are really coming on in a competitive environment. All the lads have improved and most satisfying is you can see their confidence growing by the week and all of them are now starting to enjoy the physicality of the game at this level.
We played away at Kippax on Wednesday for a 6-6 draw and it was as good a game as you are likely to see at junior level, big hits very few mistakes or missed tackles. I was a very proud coach after that performance.
My youngest is playing in the Under 7s at half time for Stanley Rangers also, these kids are great to watch as they are a bunch of nutters who naturally love the game when they are playing as a group it is a case of anything can happen. They are all looking forward to the post match lap as well.
As long as tonight is managed correctly it should be a great evening for the local kids.

Must be tough and it is a day I don't look forward to even now!
All the best to Lewis and whatever you do going forward.

| If anyone has a year 4 who is looking or thinking about getting involved with Junior rugby league they would be more than welcome at Stanley Rangers U9’s.
If anyone wants more info or an informal chat, please feel free to message me and I would be more than happy to give you more details.
From what I have seen in my group they are coming on leaps and bounds not just as rugby players but also as kids and mates, and they are all growing in confidence.
Great set of kids and also a good set of parents.
Coach is a bit of a prat though!

| Excellent day for the kids. Well done Wakefield Trinity. All the kids loved it and I am sure it helped boost the attendance too.
On a personal note we played a very good Thornhill Trojans side and our defence was outstanding picking up a very good win in our match.
Very good day for Junior rugby in the area just a shame the conditions prevented the half time match.

I coach the Thornhill side mate and it was a cracking game between two well matched sides. Our lads really enjoyed it but I think they enjoyed playing in the floods afterwards even more! I'm going to teach them breaststroke in training on Tuesday.

| can I just say how disgusted I am in some of the parents and coaching staff of Stanley u12s I am. not only today and last night at wakey match they verbally abused a 11 year old kid a kid that as only ever played 9 matches. They where calling him names cos of his weight in response to him being a hard tacker and strong runner. The player in question does tackle hard and leaves a few hurt including kids bigger than him but does do this legally (as he had many opposition awards for this)not only that as scored 17 tries in those games and one was 60 meters.
these mindless idiots are now putting someone of the game he loves and they are a joke to themselves he is nothing but a kid and they should really be ashamed of themselves and letting there club down
