Poptart - I've not seen a list of banned people and their mugshots in the Wakefield Express or outside the ground have you? - but that would only be the case if they weer looking for people they didn't know. I know for certain there have been people banned from Belle Vue

Well this is good to know, but the same issue applies here as does to identifying whether people are home or away supporters if they are not wearing colours; how do you keep banned people out without vetting them before they reach the turnstiles?

Fair point. I can't really see how they can keep them out unless people inside the ground shop them

I suppose the obvious answer is all ticket matches.

Also Mrs poching will be coming with her sons in Warrington shirts but want to stand with all their Wakey friends , what do they do ?
I can see why the club have felt the need to do what they are doing but as many have said its our trouble causers that need dealing with'"

This ^^^

My father-in-law is a Rhinos fan (Poor fellow I know!) and I used the "Bring-a-friend" voucher to get him a ticket for the Leeds game, which I now have sitting at home waiting for the re-arrangement, however it appears that actually my "bring-a-friend" will now not be able to stand with me at the game. I don't know yet but that may mean that he doesn't bother coming.

I agree something needed to be done and I will accept the decision the club has made (not that we have much choice) but I do think it is a shame that it has come to this. The number of times I have told friends that Rugby League is a great sport to come and watch, partly because of the ability to mingle with opposition fans and have a laugh/discussion without any trouble, and now it seems that is going out of the window. That is much more upsetting to me than having to change where I stand, but I gues that is modern society for you.

I'm sure if there's a good reason for it then most fans would accept it, but to go from "home fans can stand wherever they want" to this with no communication is very annoying for lots of people.'"

I entered this forum late last night after reading the above post. I explained the reasons and categorically mentioned the severity of our problems on the Western Terrace. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are striving towards an improved match day experience and aim to eliminate these fans that are spoiling it for the rest. We will isolate the fans who are responsible and subsequently ban the culprits.

Can I remind one person on here, I am happy to take the flack and will hold my hand up if the club isn't as efficient as we strive to be, but I do not appreciate personal remarks made against my position at the club or character. We will do what's best for all our fans, home and away that attend fixtures in our stadium, as safety is the paramount concern. Essentially the club employ a Ground Safety Officer who is directly responsible for all these issues, and he his the person who makes all the safety decisions, alongside Key Security, West Yorkshire Police and Wakefield Council. I am only the spokes person for the club and responding to the post above as a matter of courtesy.

Could I now ask the moderators to close this thread as I have enough information to arrange a meeting with the said organisations.

The trouble with the Cas fans was in the North stand was it not?

You may take them as personal, but they are not. The way you have waded in on here with a mixture of bravery and naivety does nothing to endorse your capability to perform a senior management role at the club in my opinion, and if that's personal then I'm sorry but it's my right to comment when you come on here riding roughshod over some peoples' views having performed awfully in implementing significant and unwarranted changes to the matchday experience without doing the leg work and the basics on root cause first. If you don't like my criticism, then I suggest that you stop reading threads on messageboards full stop, because as an officer of the club you're going to get some flak when poor decisions are made.

Quote: Davide Longo "Could I now ask the moderators to close this thread as I have enough information to arrange a meeting with the said organisations.'"

This is supposed to be independent of the club, so I'd be disappointed if they closed it because you asked them to.
If you want a forum where you have editorial control then set one up on the club's own website.

You clearly have an axe to grind with Davide; why not take him up on his offer of a 1:1 discussion?

Either way, I'm reasonably sure you don't have the authority to conduct his performance review, unless you're Andrew Glover?

I have never seen another club where there are so many "supporters" who want to complain about something or another. Perhaps its our lack of success over the years on the field but it really is demoralising and depressing. Its as though all they all get out of the wrong side of bed EVERY morning.

The only problem with the west terrace is we are now no longer allowed to stand there. Which is where I have stood all my life as it is the best view of the pitch in my eyes. I am now expected to go stand with sed troublemakers in the north stand as this is my next best view. No thanks!

Well said, it's becoming rather tedious and tiredsome. It might also help if you didn't have the odd pop which lessens your arguement. It's been explained and done to death the reasons why it's been introduced by those who have the knowledge and insight rather than 'but i've stood there for decades', which we all have. Will you still stand there when we play at NM?

It is very depressing. Davide came on with good intentions of addressing supporter concerns, however has been subjected to personal abuse by so called fans.

I'm all for constructive criticism, but to say he's a "relic of the old regime" or whatever it was is out of order. It's a shame really, we could have had a good 2 way communication link to the club, but due to the personal attacks we'll now most likely deprived us of that.

Ironically the attacks performed by a minority who have spoiled things for the majority, wishing to complain about another minority doing the same!

Suppose the vitriol on this messageboard is another example of modern society.
Also, a bit like road rage, where people act completely different when surrounded by a protective bubble.
