Quote: Khlav Kalash "The guys on the stadium trust are doing this for the right reasons and they have put in untold unpaid hours pushing a new stadium for Wakefield. If there's nothing to say on the new stadium then there's nothing to say. If anyone wants to be 'on the inside' give TRB et al a shout and get involved. I'm sure they'd appreciate the help.

Equally as paying customers we could do with knowing what's happening for next season and the club can get on with selling season tickets ASAP.'"

Right reasons and untold hours or not it is no reason to start slagging off concerned fans. It all looks nothing short of an utter shambles and even the trust themselves via Carter, Walker and the guys on here seem to have differing opinions of the direction. I was one who never thought Newmarket was the right location anyway so it never getting built wouldn't have bothered me but leaving Belle Vue to go out of the city would have. Right now the whole mess stinks from top to bottom and the longer it is allowed to fester then the more damage is done. To be honest it may well be beyond the point of no return already.

If I was short sighted I could become a referee!:

No one would blame MC if he walked away. The supporters could do a better job of running the club. At least it would be run by people who realise this is WAKEFIELD Trinity not Dewsfield Ramity.

Quote: lampyboy "Boy email I think like many you do care. You are one of many that have expressed the ßame view. The easiest option is to walk away . I hate the path the club seem to be on at the moment but I suspect like me you have trinity in your veins.
Frustration doesn't come close to my feelings I'm angry and totally xx off at the total lack of engagement the club provides. Owners come and go, players come and go . Every club has its hard core supporters Trinity are in danger of loosing a significant number of season ticket and loyal fans.'"

Actually the easiest option isn't to walk away otherwise i'd have done it years ago. Yes its in the blood, you won't find me in another clubs colours put it that way! But just like an old relationship that ukrimately goes sour the love just ain't there anymore and theres more enjoyable things to do with life than spend it miserable which is all this club has done for me! Some could never walk away and i tip my hat to them but for me there is no light at the end of the Wakey tunnel, i believe the club will stay up via the play off but it will be same old same again next year and the year after that etc, its time to draw my line in the sand. Be weird having weekends free to do other stuff.

Well go on then - the club is available for a quid apparently so what's stopping you splashing out - you really come over as an utter fool at times.

The ground position sold by Ted had the convenient on it where we could stay and play there until such time as a new stadium replaced it .
That would seem to be put in so no one (Glover elston) or any developer could harm the club or serve notice on it.
Carter in his wisdom has given notice !
Therefore giving up the option of any future benefit financially we could gain if we moved to Newmarket and given up our realistic option of developing belle vue and creating the ridiculous situation where we carnt sell season tickets.
We might leave with a whimper a stadium which for so many has so many wonderful memories.
And could have a castastofic effect on our clubs long term future

Quote: Sacred Cow "Wow what a now typically pompous reply by one of the self-appointed crusaders for Wakefield. You should know all about spouting horse crap on here, take a look at most of your previous posts. Have you actually got anything right yet? You do realise it is not just the Belle Vue decision that people are cheesed off about don't you, but the whole 'we know something you don't' garbage that eminates from you and the club (and has done for years) reagrding Newmarket as well. Years of lies and bullcrap (no more so than recently) and people have had enough. Actually you probably don't realise and that is why you are now just as much part of the problem as anyone else, blinded by everybody elses perceived failings without being able to look at the bigger picture. Nobody asked you to get involved, if you don't like it you know where the door is as it seems it is nowgetting to you. Stick to watching the Rhinos and go and spend some time with your family, nobody will blame you you've tried your best. If that means the club dies so be it, your conscience is clean and leave usn keyboard warriors or village idiots to cry in our beer. But quit having a pop at people who give a damn just because it doesn't suit your agenda. Rant over.'"

Yep and you are typical of the no mark do nothing snipers who come on shouting the odds anonymously and in total ignorance of course. Why don't you just get lost rather than attacking blokes who do more for the club in a day than you will have done in a lifetime. WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE? Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

it's a coven at it doesn't mean we own it - hence what financial benefit exactly?

Don't know why people are slagging off IA, TRB, Sandal Cat etc. They've done more for. the club than I and others probably ever will.

I'm just as frustrated about the ground situation both with BV and NM but I'm angry at the council and the goddamn Labour Party more than anything else. I suggest people direct the anger at them and Yorkcout, what a bunch of slimely sneaky twonks.

Quote: Inflatable_Armadillo "Clearly everything to the 'brains trust' who seem to be dominating this thread Smew! I just can't believe the amount of total horse crap being posted on this board by a bunch of anonymous keyboard warriors.

When they are struggling with the concept of a 'deal' taking at least two parties to conclude, and in this case there are at least 6 separate parties involved, then you know you are communicating with a bunch of people who don't actually have the first clue about how these things work.

That said, if you could let me have your contact details, I think I might organise a late night poker session... I reckon TRB, Sandal Cat and I could sweep up and pay ourselves back some of our lost time we have spent on the whole stadiums affair.

I don't think any of them should bother buying a season ticket to be honest... while things are extremely difficult at the club and moral is at an all time low amongst supporters, you lot still don't actually deserve to support or watch WTW,

I am done here, because there appears to a whole load of local villages missing idiots!'"

Hard to disagree with the general sentiment of your post. But:
The thing is, if you don't say anything it's not hard to expect the vacuum to be filled in this way by frustrated people. All it takes is a statement with an apology for the delay in things getting sorted, it's out of our control blah blah blah and then there is at least a pretence that the fans are important in all this. Without it then Carter just creates an unnecessary problem. If he has said something then I have missed it and take it all back

Sorry to pick you up on this but there was no covenant placed on Belle Vue when it was sold by Ted.

When the planning consent was granted to develop housing on Belle Vue there was a condition placed that stated that Belle Vue could not be demolished and developed until an alternative playing field was identified in the district. When the planning consent expired there was an application to extend the consent and when this was granted a new condition (Condition 3icon_cool.gif was inserted to remove the previous condition that stated that Belle Vue could not be demolished or redeveloped until the stadium at Newmarket was built. As much as I'm no fan of the Council I believe the credit for Condition 38 lies with them.

Condition 38 still applies and can only be removed by another application which we would object to, as we did successfully before. If the Club has left Belle Vue we would still object as Newmarket has not been built and we ultimately would be looking for it to be built to facilitate a return to Wakefield.
