I have to say that Sinfield spoke well (as ever) on the SL show regarding drugs testing - he wanted more to take place and spoke up regarding the 100% me initiative. I like Sinfield he is articulate and measured - reminds me of JK in this regard.

(And if they are doing cocaine or whatever 'recreational' drug, then again, they are idiots.)

They do - by all signing up to the RFL's prescribed method of testing players in a random fashion - deemed to be the most effective solution by the people who run the game.
It is also clear to all players that the responsibility is their own - and no-one elses - you seem unable to grasp this point, but I would ask you not to make comments which infer in anyway any wrong doing by any of Terry's clubs - there is none! |

I dont see where I have inferred anything that would suggest any club was involved directly in any wrong doing.
but neither should they benefit is my view. I dont know that ignorance of the facts is an acceptable excuse either. |

Although i do have some sympathy for what you are suggesting.
In order for a club to be punished,they would have to be found guilty of misconduct that impinges on the integrity of the game -- which Wakefield are not.
Also,and i could be wrong on this,but the first sample taken has to be "in competition" if retraction of medals/points etc...is to be done. |

yes you are correct,
how can you tell or prove that a sample taken in November has influenced a result in February the following year,
to punish the club is nonsense

Let's be honest though, if any club was systematically doping their players (which, perhaps happens, or did happen, in cycling), then having a few points deducted would be the very least of their worries!
