I'd back myself to be right more times than the BBC and I'm right in this situation sadly.

| Yes Superleague is now the only league in the world not to take up the new rules, even the NRL have adopted it.

It's rubbish to get nothing after all that. The regular 80 minutes was essentially a waste of time.

| Double bugger!! Quite like the idea of 1 point each and 1 for the GP; this, as has been said, at least gives a reward for all the effort put in and turns a negative into a positive.(sort of) Crazy that it's operating in the Championship and not SL.

Know where your coming from, it left the ending to a fantastic second half very flat ,from the highs of drawing the game to a few minutes later Losing ,got to be something better .But from a team perspective that game will have done us the power of good and hopefully reap the rewards later in the season. Not so many moons ago we would have faced damage limitation after going behind, but to fight our way back into the game shows true grit and determination by the squad

| If you read over this thread it becomes quite farcical having knowledgeable posters about the game still not aware where we stand on the new points ruling, how difficult is it to run a game and make rule changes clear
Other sports fans will look on this and chuckle.
The new points system would of been a fair result had they introduced it into our league

Yep, what's wrong with having a draw?

I think it's a reflection of society as a whole, and how there is very little middle ground anymore. You're either a leftie or right wing, an eco-warrior or a climate change denier, a success or a failure, happy with a small slice or you want the whole pie. Basically, society has been reduced to winners or losers, and in the entertainment/sport industry, it's a more exciting prospect to have triumphant winners and dejected losers.
A deep explanation I know, but I think it carries a certain amount of credibility. Why share the points, when for a few more minutes of graft, one team can take the whole lot and the other gets nowt?!

| The golden point does nothing to promote the game. The americans must have a winner and fans in general love it. Didnt the yanks want to introduce a golden point in ( SOCCER )

| I really don't understand what's so problematic about a draw? That would have been a fair result from Friday's game - both sides had periods of dominance, both played some great and not so great rugby, and both dug in hard to keep it tight and always within reach. The 80 minutes of graft was essentially decided on a coin toss.
If it's ok for everyone else, why not SL?
