No one has called him amazing, come on.
He's a good quality import.

Yup, I have not seen anything from him to convince me he has an offload game, and seen as he seems to have a decent amounts of all the other traits of a good centre then yes, it's the weakest part of his game for me, and the thing that (luckily for us) means he is with us rather than at the likes of Leeds or Wigan or even still in the NRL.
Centres need many attributes but their main objective is to put their winger way, he is very good at making space for his winger but the thing that separates a good centre from an exceptional one is the offload - and this is something he simply doesn't have in his armoury from what I have seen from him. Look at the best couple of centres we have seen over here for many, many years in Lyon and Gidley (and probably the best centre in the league right now in Joel Moon) - the main thing that set them apart from the rest was their ability to get rid of the ball in contact.
Agree with the general sentiment though, he's a good player and we should be doing everything within our power (bank balance permitting) to try and keep hold of him.

To me Collis always looks dangerous when he gets his hands on the ball, Even when the rest of the team arnt issueing any attacking threat.
He`s made 10 CLEAN breaks so far this season, 1 less than ben cockayne, also 34 tackle busts ! To me hes our most consistant player and very rarely has a bad game. but i still think that there is more to come from him.#
I certainly dont think that he gets `Bigged up more than he deserves` if anything its the opposite for me.

It's funny because I'd say he's under rated, we hardly ever have topics about him, just the comments in match threads saying he's had a good game.
The thing I like about Collis is that he's a proper . He's all about creating space to put the winger away, he usually always makes things happen on the ball & constantly beats the player in front of him, massively consistent as well.
I say if Collis wants a new contract, give him one.

| No brainer this one, get him signed up now. Best centre we've had for a good few years, other than Domic I don't think there has been anyone as good for us in the SL era.

TBF I think Atkins was better. Not going to bag the lad because he left, he was damned exciting to watch if a bit raw.

Atkins was more of a battering ram though - probably down to how we used him to be fair, but he usually ended up trying to smash his way through defenders rather than beating them on the run like Collis. The reliance on Atkins' power was demonstrated for me when Millard arrived and we tried to use him the same way, and he was unable to deliver - hence we never really saw his 'magic' in SL until he went to Catalans.

Atkins was good for us no doubt but as you say very raw and very one dimensional at the time. For me Collis is the better all round centre, or at least more of a finished product, during their respective times with us. Atkins these days though has gained more aspects to his game and has bolossomed at Warrington.

I am of course referring to the Atkins of today who I believe is better than Collis but he would be as Atkins athleticism is a rarity - in terms of technique I agree.
Richard also agrees with me as he always does

| Anyone questioning the ability of Collis after tonight needs to reconsider what sport they're watching. You could tell he was class last season but now he's proving it.

Tbh it's hard to get my head around anyone who says they haven't noticed him much, he's got the skills to pay the bills.

| it will be hard to push him out of this position for our young ones coming through, Cowling and Walshaw look good but at this moment but Dean is making his new contract look like a must.
I was disappointed when Millard left as I thought we hadn't seen the best of him but Collis is just class
