I turned up at 3.15pm with my season ticket, waited a couple of minutes if that and I was straight in. I always use the Donny Road entrance, seems easier than the others.

Used the western terrace turnstiles which season ticket holder can now use after been cash only last season, so all good for me this season rather than having to walk round to the north terrace turnstiles like last season. A good improvement well done Trinity.

Yep, glad they have changed it, never really understood why we could not get in that way but its sorted now.

Went in through Cats Bar, no queue, I would assume anyone with a ticket could use it and then access the ground down the steps and round the back of the flats.
Not suitable for disabled supporters but ideal for families with young children, hell you can even have a pint and look in the new shop.

I agree it needs sorting, but I think the reason paying adults and children have to go through seperate turnstiles comes down to accounting, and the fact that it's open to abuse,

For example, for arguments sake lets say it's £20 for adults, £10 for kids. At the end of his shift, Joe Bloggs the turnstile operator takes £1000 to the security office. He writes on his slip that's he's had 75 people through his turnstile, and this breaks down to 50 kids (£500) and 25 adults (£500). The official in the security office checks his takings, there is £1000, and checks the turnstile counter, 75 people have come through. Everyone is happy.

Now, suppose in reality it was actually the other way round...and there were 50 adults (£1000), 25 kids (£250), so a total of £1250 was taken, and Mr Bloggs has pocketed the extra £250. Very easy to do.

So, to combat this the club either employ someone (at say £30 a game) to stand next to every turnstile operator to make sure he/her is being trustworthy. Or they simply print off a few sheets of A4 to stick above the turnstiles, have seperate turnstiles for adults and children and tell families etc if they want to go through the same turnstile they need to pre-purchase tickets.

Now, I'm not suggesting that any Wakefield turnstile operators have or would fiddle the numbers, but it's inevitable that these things will occur.

As for seperate entrances depending on your ticket (adults/concession)-that's something which makes no sense to me.

I'm a season ticket holder as are my kids, we go to the gates that say tickets on not cash, we still can't go through the same turnstile, as we are handing over our season ticket slip with no financial value, this theory of security is irrelevant, I do see that if people are paying cash on entry that could be a problem, but the main grip here is where people have either a season ticket or a pre-purchased ticket, I cannot for the life of me see any reason why, if you have a ticket (season or pre-paid) for the game, that you are not allowed to enter through the same gate.

I take your points on board, as a result we will be changing the turnstile operation to hopefully support the thread.

Again,if it's deemed that you look younger than you are or in some instances older,you must provide sufficient identification when challenged. I can assure you that every effort is made to make the entry into the stadium efficient but a small minority of people do try it on by entering with incorrect match day tickets

Our fundamental issue was the junior had a ticket and we paid cash, we lined up for a turnstile that said £20 & Tickets. It should have been labelled £20 & adult tickets. So the nipper after being turned away had to join another queue. We held up our queue to make sure he got in.

Two issues really. Oh and the 3rd!

Yay so I can now enter the same turnstile on Welbeck Street paying cash whilst the nipper uses his ticket!

What happened to the ones at Catherine Street?

Still would like to know if Catherine Street turnstiles will be used this year.I appreciate they have to be closed when Sky are here but a lot of spectators come up Catherine Street and it would take a lot of pressure off the others ones
