| As a neutral who thoroughly enjoyed the game, I think you're mean blaming Dale Morton for anything. He was one of a team who collectively lost their heads in the final ten minutes. Why didn't your captain or your halves direct play so that you would secure territory when it became obvious that nobody could kick a dropgoal? That is where Wakey lost the match in reality. Both teams were neck and neck up to that point. But neither side deserved to lose that match, it was one of those games. The Challenge Cup often is!
I hope your team of largely inexperienced, exhuberant and talented players will now be able to pick themselves up from that loss to fight on in the league, especially Dale Morton.
Sorry that you lost as Wakey played their hearts out. Hopefully you'll pick up some more wins to get yourselves in the top 8 in Superleague.

I wanna know if he's just stupid or thought giving a pen there was a good idea just before we had the massive wind advantage. There didn't seem to be any threat, especially as the hooter was sounding. Ripping out was dangerous giving we had no more players on the edges.
Together we are stronger without bad apples.

| The standard of both teams was very poor, yet another 10 point lead thrown away,we shud have scored on their line at 16-6 and it was a turning point cos cas were on their ,typical trinity.!

Well surely you should know that being a bit that way yourself.
True but its not the players that are the bad apples its stay away can't be bothered fans who just "give it large" on here.

| The same folk on here saying we were rubbish are the same ones who had we got lucky and one of our players had swung a leg at the ball and it had sailed over we would have instantly been world beaters. Some of our defence was superb not sure about our kicking in the first half when we should have pinned them back in the corners. A classic wakey game for me that I will remember for a long time and a great afternoons entertainment. Two fingers up to the Rugby League.

| Cannot believe some of the crap on here.
Collectively and individually they gave their all in a tremendous contest - and I will not ask more than that. Experience comes with game time and age, the young lads need to learn and learn fast, but nothing today has suggested to me that these guys deserve anything but our strongest backing for the remainder of this season and, hopefully, beyond.
Get a grip if you really think for one second that anyone would deliberately cause us to lose a game like that!

| Don't single Dale out as the reason we lost, he did a lot of good things today including making some hard yards from inside our 20.
He got done early by being given the ball in a compromised position and IMO got done at the end by a combination of trying To clamp the ball and Isa's loose carry.
You could ask questions of Howarths defence in letting Chase duck past him or whoever gave the penalty away at the end of normal time.
In the end it was a tight game unsatisfactorily settled by a cheap penalty but we showed the RFL. That a Wakefield Vs Castleford derby is as valuable as any other in the game.

| Quote: trinity for life "Morton errer at end was a major factor but at end of day we lack half backs to create try end of'"
The major factor was a poor kick by Lee with us 10 points up and a lost ball by Amor with just over 4 minutes to play with us 2 up. Should have never gone to extra time
Fantastic effort in a real cup tie the kids will learn from today

| If people are help bent on laying the blame at one player's feet, then what about Kyle Amor, his stupid carry which was deemed a knock on, then two plays later Dixon kicked the penalty to level the game. I am not blaming Amor, I am just pointing out that if you look at the game there are many things done where you could blame one particular player. IMO the penalty was given after the hooter but it is done and the game is gone.
On another note, while not a glamorous game with loads of flair it did show that the super league needs this kind of intensive Derby fixture.
