| Watching the Wakey connections.
Snitch, Ferres and Wainwright : stinkers.
Evans :reliable as ever.
Jackson, Atkins and Hudson : invisible (other than the immature haircut)
Westwood :usuall 100% effort and commitment.
Thaler : Wakey through and through.

| Morleys stiff arm was no more worse than Macgoldrick's elbow in Matt Kings face after he'd been tackled in goal.
What's up with that man, it's as if nobodies allowed to tackle him, niggling and striking out after almost every tackle.

| Anyone else of the opinion Castleford have too many workhorses. Barring Chase or Sherwin, they looked very plain and predictable. Granted it is only round 2 but i have to say that both sides looked very ordinary as did the officials.
Snitch didn't look the same player we had last year, so maybe the board were right to let him go.

Not really - in fact I reckon they lost the game because they were trying to play too much football.
I get what you are saying - they don't rely on the magic of the individual, but they do play expansively and end up coughing up posession - when they need a 'grind-out' mode
I certainly didn't see a 'champion' performance last night - think the worries will come from West Hull / Huddersfield / Wigan plus Leeds / Saints as usual, although I reckon St's could be a little off the pace this year!

| I really can't put into words how deflated I am when I see Ben Thaler run out at Cas games. I try my best to convince myself that the Wakey connection is in my head and that he is a professional, but then he insists on spoiling the game as a spectacle EVERY single time.
Now I'm not saying he cost Cas the game, far from it, but the constant pedantic decisions and simply awful decisions (for both teams) really do start to add up during a game and the feeling of "no matter what we do he blow up" just about sums him up. Then to rub salt in the wounds he blows up 4-5 times in a 3 minute spell, guess what, when the game is out of reach! Clown!
John Kear hit the nail on the head the other week when he asked for consistency. The current crop of RL referees have some how turned what is essentially a very simple game, with even more simplistic rules, into a hotch potch of interpretations which leave fans boiling from one week to the next.
Ben if you read these forums, which I suspect you will as you're on a level with Ganson for egotism, let it go, Cas did not ruin your brother, he just wasn't good enough to make the grade. No one comes to games to see you prance about in your nice little white uniform and hear your whistle so just let the game flow. That's all I ask.

how wrong I was ! Really stood up well to Sinfield & his constant questioning of every decision- had a good game IMO . I know it's easy to say now because we won , but honestly thought he reffed the game well.
