Now you can raise money for club funds by doing your online shopping through our own website!!!

It really isn't as daft as it sounds!

Found this that another sports club is doing....

We have created a page of all your favourite online stores, including Amazon, ASDA, Argos, John Lewis, Expedia, Sainsbury's, Boots, M&S, PC World and many more.

Simply by accessing these from our club pages we earn commission on all your purchases. You don't pay a penny more, but the club can earn thousands per year with your help.

Buying a Kindle from Amazon? If you go to Amazon via our Club Cashback shop, Amazon will be able to tell. And because the club shop 'referred you', they donate a percentage of whatever you spend back to us.

It really is that simple. We're not asking you to use specific retailers, all we ask is when you shop online, please go via our shop and you can help us raise much needed funds this season.

There is no catch. You won’t have to sign up or be asked for any details whatsoever. You really are helping the club by doing no more than you were going to do anyway!

Have a look to see if your next online purchase can be made through our cashback page here
Not a bad idea. However, this IS NOT affiliated to WTW...Sorry but had to get that one in; your message implies this will help us at present (to me anyhow).

Sorry got you now the correct link however is on the club website!!

Some great ideas reading through the thread,

The company i work for recently (a couple of months back)hired a board room/ meeting room in the ground for 2 hours (As there were no where else available to hold a sizeable meeting) - The first choices where Holiday inn, Ceador court and Days hotel - all charging around £300 for just a few hours ! - It was only when someone mentioned a previous meeting held at the ground a couple of years ago that the club was contacted to book the room. i also know that they have previously held events to promote business as i have myself attended product demonstration there - I think marketing this with businesses around Wakefield (and surrounding areas) and letting them know that the club is available to hold events and meetings wwould be a great way of generating money.

Hello, yes I know easy fundraising.org is on there as it was me that suggested it 2/3 weeks ago before it was on the WTW Website. It's nice to see the club responding to our suggestions (although had no feedback) but I saw the latest link that I submitted yesterday which I thought was an even better more user friendly quicker way of purchasing items through them and contributing to WTW finances.

Hope they also pick up on my car boot idea which is another easy income stream with the help of volunteers. Done at Chesterfield FC with similar size fan base and charge £10 per car. Space for 150 cars per Sunday morning!

eusa_clap.gif Great. It's really refreshing that we have a chairman approachable to new ideas on this forum. Hopefully everyone's innovative ideas will make a difference.

PLEASE EVERYONE ON THE FORUM EVEN IF YOU ARE SKINT GO ONTO THE WEBSITE AND REGISTER THEN GO INTO THE FREE DONATIONS PAGE AND SIGN UP FOR FREE PRODUCTS WHERE A DONATION IS MADE TO THE CLUB. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU'VE NOT REGISTERED FOR NATIONAL LOTTERY ON LINE DO IT HERE AND £1.50 IS DONATED TO WTW EVERY TIME. THATS £4000 IF ALL DIE HARD FANS DO IT AT LEAST JUST WITH THAT TRANSACTION ALONE. ONLY RAISED £9.13 SO FAR!

www.easyfundraising.org.uk

I hope the car boot site for Belle Vue car park comes off and if there is space for 100-150 cars then it's an easy income stream at £10 per car plus charging £1 per adult customer. On a weekly basis if established it would hopefully bring in about £2000 per week. I know that car boot licences have to be obtained from the local authority as they have been done at Chesterfield FC. They may be worth contacting for pointers/advice.

You need someone to donate £7,000 of fireworks like CT to really make it work. We had about 3,000 down the lane last year for this. It gets bigger and better every year and the club make a nice little earer on food and drinks as well as the admission price.

Most noble of CT to donate £7000 of fireworks to our fundraising 'challenge' icon_smile.gif
Do you think they would?

Just a thought and possibly a crazy one d040.gif Could the club lend the money with payments deferred until New Market?

Under the old regime I am sure it was stated that the club predicted additional turnover of over 2 million p/a. If this is the case and with New Market looking more and more possible (provided we retain our SL status) and with MC stating that we had various businesses/groups/individuals interested in renting space at the ground would this not be a viable option.

If we are to believe what we have been informed (and I do have confidence in the guys at helm) and these figures are correct WTW as a business going forward has got prospects and most of all the capability to self fund and pay back its debts (as long as it is run appropriately).

I believe if we can just batten down the hatches and ride the storm until New Market the sun would shine...However, if relegation beckons then funding from the council could be lost along with new market and along with the future investment/earning potential.

Would this be a possibility... Or could the fans club together to give the club an interest free loan instead of the share scheme with the loan been quashed in say 10 years or given back as shares?

I like your optimism but I suspect that for a club with a recent history like ours there aren't any lenders out there that would take a punt on us.

As for supporters, it's a possibility but bearing in mind we've only managed to persuade 1500 to buy season tickets then I suspect there wouldn't be enough fans that would volunteer for this scheme.

I think we need to stop thinking that Newmarket will be the start of a massive new financial dawn. Look at Salford.

Sadly right on both counts. The are absolutely no guarentees if and when Newmarket will come to being so borrowing against it is impossible. And getting an interest free loan from fans? Even less chance!
