I fear the brighter lights and potential glory of "bigger" clubs will entice Mr Tongia away. Didn't he say we are a stepping stone for him in a recent interview ?

And he needs more than a few games to showcase hinself. If that means a 1 year contract then so be it.

Come mid next year WTW could look alot brighter to him and other players.

I like Tongia. Just needs to sort his ball carry out, as it seems very loose.

For some players i agree with a 1 year deal (James, Moore when he came ect) but in his case, i think we should be looking at 2 year deal minimum. As has been said, looks like he has that something about him.

Personally it's a no from me. There has to be the opportunity for some of the younger academy/fringe players to progress. Morton for me should continue to play on a regular basis. Tadulala, has been a great servant for the club, but he is simply blocking the progression of our younger lads and probably wanting a larger contract.

It might be worth playing Walshaw on the wing outside Murphy or Collis, it will give him more SL exposure without placing him directly in the firing line, it will give the team a solid defensive wingman big enough to cope with anyone playing on the wing for another team and it gives us a huge advantage when fielding attacking or defensive crossfield kicks.

Now that Collis has signed, I think it's even less likely we'll sign Tongia. We need to use those remaining quota places sensibly.

How many quota spaces do we have free?

Dunno. I think it's 2, in which case, you'd have to hope at least one of those would be a half back, and one would be a prop. Unless we've made some astute UK signings, of course.
