What I don't understand is how would we pay for the newbuild AG hinted at last week? We don't own bv so can't sell that. Newmarket was based on Yorkcourt providing the land and grants etc making up the rest with it being a community stadium and Wakefield councils two million land loan was only applicable if we were in superleague, which is highly unlikely. Yes it may be a joint venture with another club but where would our share of the cash come from, especially without the income that SL brings?

Is it possible the club are trying to do thing professionally and not releasing things until they are conctrete plans rather than rasing false hope etc or worse still giving competitiors the edge?

Which is the correct way to do it. But when at a fans forum the powers that be sit there and talk about Oakwell being plan B then just a few weeks later, without explanation, its not an option don't be surprised when people start asking questions, especially at such a crucial time for the club.

I have never seen a direct quote saying we are not going to oakwell, when it was first mentioned about going to oakwell it was said that details could nit be released due to the other party not wanting it made public, I will not be surprised if it is on our app to go there for the next three years whilst we get a new plan A moving if NM falls through.

But isn't that what he's saying, sometimes you have to knock the competition of balance or get an edge in which case much as they would probably like to they can't explain every decision to us. I'm sorry but we are a business first and all fans both me and you don't always have a right to know. As fans we forget our place, you go into Tesco and buy an apple and expect it to be fit for purpose - you don't then because you're now a customer expect to be told their entire business strategy on demand would you?

Of course fans shouldn't know everything. Sometimes though its better to say nothing at all rather than little titbits for people to pick up on. AG's statement last week about a possible newbuild and Oakwell no longer was always going to generate debate. Even more so when Oakwell was seen as our one saving grace regarding a licence. Then as rumours circle about NM etc then people start putting 2+2 together and getting allsorts. If he hadn't made that statement then nobody would be any the wiser. Either tell the full story or don't tell any at all.
