Was really peed off when we allowed him, Ford and Davis to go to Cas as it virtually rescued them from relegation. Double whammy too as it also weakened us for the playoffs where Shudds triumphed and got that unexpected 2nd super league place.

If HKR have the key then fine best of luck to the lad. For me I’m only interested in the youngsters we have, especially Pratt, Smith and Lingard who I think have far bigger futures than Ruan.

I didn’t mention anything about the past and about him not signing a contract years ago. I was simply talking about the present and that he could be worth looking at. It’s obvious his career has stalled somewhat and as a project player I think he could be worth a look. I’m not sure what you mean about moving on. Where did I say I’m not interested or more invested in the young players we have here at Trinity like those listed? I’m not sure how me saying I’d like to see Ruan given a punt has any bearing on how I think of other young trinity players who imo have bright futures.

I'm not up on our young backrowers but that's probably somewhere we need to have some people on the pathway. The future looks good in all other areas but with Vagana, Seth and Storton it's not like it's an immediate emergency.

Oh absolutely there’s no urgency with us having a handful of good edge forwards available and players like Scott who could ship in to it if needed.

It was more like you I’m surprised he hasn’t been more successful or broken through as much as I suspected. He is only 21 though so there’s plenty of time for him. I wouldn’t mind us looking at him but I wouldn’t lose any sleep over us not.
