| Well, well, well, time for memory recall ! A player called Brett Ferris may be playing for Donny ?
Will he be the usual - himself - a frustrated penalty machine, this was how Leeds saw him ?
I remember him being mawngy when at wakey & pleading for us to let him go to Car & be with his mates,
This he did & look what he did to his best mate, the rest is history !

I remember him coming to Trin as "the new Solomona", sadly, he never got close.
According to Wiki, he's 38 !

Tbf to him he’s a had a very solid career and represented England well imho. He was one of the best second rowers in SL in his time.

I think I get what you're trying g to say but as others have mentioned the interplay with the forwards running angles etc will come with firmer pitches.

He was ok but, nowhere near to Solomona though.
Mind you, that's not his fault.
Solomona still remains one of the best players that we've had at Trinity in the last 40 years.
The comparison should never have been made by the club.

I don't remember that comparison. Whoever made it didn't know either player.
But Ferris was a good player and played well for England.
He's old now so we really shouldn't be worrying about him but he's no mug.

Doncaster have a decidely senior nature to their squad. Ferres won't be 38 for a couple of weeks, but will still be four years younger than Misi Taulapapa. Then they have Sam Smeaton, Craig Hall, Suaia Matagi and Jason Tali, who are all 36.
Of course, the oldest player in the division remains the inexhaustible Paul Sykes, though I don't think he has played much for Dewsbury this year.

| Solomona is the best overseas player I’ve seen in my time of supporting Wakey, he was a NZ international while playing for us too. Literally unplayable at times.
