IMG have made their opinion of London pretty clear, hence London not over committing this season- they know where they are in 2025 hence why they have kept a good number of part timers

| Are there some similarities with Everton and the demoted clubs (Leeds, Leicester etc)? I know it's not a salary cap issue, but if Salford would have paid the rent etc then maybe they would have had a far less able team and this gave them a false advantage at avoiding any chance of relegation? Don't get me wrong, I'm very much looking forward to a year in the championship etc but technically it hasn't been a truly level playing field has it?

| More like similarities with Bradford Bulls IMO...they stuck their head in the sand and didn't pay their bills either and look what happened there

The RFL had said that the 1895 cup would begin 27/28 January. Is this not correct ?

London and Toulouse both played the entire regular season in the Championship without a main jersey sponsor (for instance as you can see here at the Summer Bash).

I mentioned this a couple of times on forums but nobody seemed especially interested, I thought it was quite a significant story. They both belatedly got a main jersey sponsor for the play-offs.
London in particular have been a basket case off the field for quite a few years now. They've alienated a huge chunk of what wasn't a particulalrly large fan base as a result.

They're still not going to be primary tenants, so other than securing the lease to ensure their participation in SL its doesn't score them any extra IMG points (unless my understanding is wrong) I bet there is a lot of salford city council tax payers not happy about the use of these public funds

| They have only sold 700 season tickets, hopefully a few more get on board now for them.

Given the uncertainty about if / where they would be playing, this is probably understandable.
Like every other club, they need some stability before they can grow and since Koucash left, they haven't had any..

You could ague that they didn't have any when he was there, left them with more debt than when he started and no progress on the ground

No they haven't.
The council have voted to be willing/intend to take full ownership of the stadium. Now they have to negotiate a deal with Peel Holdings to try and agree a purchase price with them.
If and when it happens, it won't be any time too soon.

Hope they have better luck dealing with them than Doncaster Airport....
