| Quote financialtimes="financialtimes"The Environment agency has raised concerns with bot PP's as i understand and 2 of the major customers that were looking to move into the new development next to Jnc 32(Amazon 7 Siemens) have pulled out, so I doubt that one will even get off the ground now, and as one is totally dependant on the other, it looks like neither will happen in the next 24 months, the PP is not being scheduled to be heard again until the November meeting at the earliest. It looks sadly like Cas are in a similar position to what Trinity were with Newmarket and have clearly been dicked around.'"
I'm not sure where you get all this from mate.
Axiom submitted 5 new documents to PP regarding the Glasshoughton site which addressed the concerns on September 14th. They submitted 1 more document on the 15th September for the Jungle development (flood risk) to hopefully be heard at the PP meeting in November. If passed this releases the money immediately to start the ground improvement. We'll have to see I suppose.

Firstly everything I said is fact, at the time of me typing it I was unaware tha 24 hours prior, axiom sent in documents regarding the EA concerns, however, that still doesn’t remove their concerns until they respond at the next scheduled planning meeting. Secondly, the 2 major companies that had originally committed to the JcT32 site have gone elsewhere, this puts some jeopardy in the development, but I agree it isn’t a 100% dealbreaker. Lastly, the funds get released when “Axiom” release them, the only thing that dictates the timing (as stated in the S106 agreement) is that they cannot start on the jct 32 development until they release the fund, so if they don’t want to start on it for 4 years (which I think but not sure is the statutory length of these stand) then they don’t have to release the monies for 4 years HTH

Read ad understood mate, I can only say that everything Axiom have said in communications on the matter is that they are desperate to start as soon as possible. Appreciate that you didn't know about the documents.

Nope.
The Eastwoods' submission of of 15th Sept is a begging letter saying "we can't do what they EA say we must do, so please ignore the environmental requirements".
As it stands the Cas development is screwed.
The developer has put in writing that they cannot fund the project at the level required.
You should also be aware that WMDC have made it clear to Cas that they cannot use the £2m in the way that Gratton has suggested in the press last week.

From the WMDC Planning Portal - submission from Eastwood's on behalf of the developer.:
"In order to raise finished floor levels above the maximum flood level should defences fail, approximately 1.5 m of raising would be required. This would result in the development failing to meet accessibility criteria and lead to an increase in flood risk elsewhere.
In addition, raising of finished floor levels would require the creation of new compensatory voids to accommodate the displaced volume of flooding. If this were to be included on the site it would result in the significant de-scoping of the major upgrades provided (such as removal of the training pitch, loss of car parking and removal of the fan zone) thereby undermining the principle of the proposals to provide upgraded stadium and training facilities. Having the fans seated at a higher level would undermine the intimate atmosphere of the historic stadium, one of the features it is famous and valued for.
Raising finished floor levels would also raise construction costs which have been carefully assessed to provide the maximum benefits and to meet the Superleague stadium criteria. Any increase in construction costs would mean that the other upgrades to the facilities would need to be descoped resulting in Wheldon Road failing to meet the required stadium standards. Raising of finished floor levels is therefore deemed unviable."

You only get points for winning and it was too long ago anyway.

| All clubs have a season to put together their plans including Castleford to gain enough points to get into or stay in SL. We like every other club know what is required therefore whatever the outcome is down entirely to whoever is running the club.
We have to accept that we were the worst team and deserve to be relegated and nothing going to change this. They will not be a 14 team SL next season and Castleford will not be demoted.

| They need to get a move on.
At the moment, on a brief look through, they are looking at 9.5 points.
They lose out big time in finance and stadium.
They need to hit that minimum criteria in "Plan B" as they leave some serious points on the table with that.

So are the.other documents submitted on the 14th in relation to the axiom development or the cas development?
