True but their choice.
However we are talking sponsorships here, MC is talking about stakeholders, two very different animals.
In ASUS we must have one of the most high profile sponsors in the game.

The ASUS link probably has potential to grow but that will only depend on one thing imo. Success and exposure on the field performances and playing in the big games such as semi/finals.
If this were to happen I could see some further investment from ASUS but they have to see a return.

Sorry to keep saying this but that's not investment or not what MC means, that's commercial. I agree it will help us with ASUS that's for sure as it will with other commercial stuff. But what we really need is another director with some cash to spend, preferably one with a fetish for stadium re-builds

Oh yes I get the difference but naturally any investment is welcome. I really hope that seeing the advancement in facilities and income potential will bring with it another director who has some financial clout behind him. We must be a far more attractive proposition now (or at least will be in a number of months). If it was someone who could transform the west stand and facilities as you say that would be a huge bonus!
I know Koukash isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but he’s be perfect for Trinity. He would see some good growth and success here if he invested and allowed the club to be managed off the field by the experts such as MC etc. hopefully the club can find someone to invest and join them to make trinity a force again on and off the field.

Steve Parkin has just sold Clipper to US giants GXO for around £2 Billion his stake is around £1.2 Billion giving him a personal wealth of around £2 Billion.
He’s a Wakefield bloke and is very interested in sport, he doesn’t strike me as the type to retire to his garden

| When Steve Parkin was interested before he was willing to pay every single creditor, player and staff member in full to the tune of around £3.3million. He’d already spent £200k+ on due diligence, finding 1 or 2 skeletons that hadn’t been revealed to him but he said “it’s pocket change and makes no difference”.
He promised the RFL that Wakefield would never ever again suffer a financial crisis or embarrass the sport again. He also pledged to build the best training centre outside the top Premier League clubs and to give England teams free use of it.
It was a time of franchises and all he asked was an assurance that having spent the best part of £4 Million investigating the club, clearing debts etc that he wouldn’t find himself with a very very expensive Championship Club. I suspect a nod nod wink wink would have sufficed but the RFL refused (rightly or wrongly maybe naively) so he walked away, can’t blame him.
Glover took over, and the rest is history

Then you gotta ask why he hasn't already made an effort.
With a personal wealth of 2 billion Trinity is chicken feed.
I'm not taking the mick here, if you know him or at least know how to contact him drop him a line.

The sale of Clipper has just happened in the last couple of months, It’s a done deal but I’d guess there are still some things being worked out.
I do know him, to say hello to but I’m not one of his buddies or anything like that.
He’s heavily involved at Leeds United, not just as a major sponsor but I believe he has some shares
He also owns Guisley FC along with 3 other Directors who themselves are worth around £200 to £300 million each
The problem with Guisley FC is that they’re in Leeds and no matter how big they get or even if they were promoted year on year to the Premier League, within Leeds they’ll always be smaller than Leeds United, always second biggest, second fiddle, second choice.
Hence the interest in Wakefield

No reason he can't do both, especially as ones a winter game. Who knows, these are a different breed of people to the rest of us and they don't think like we do. To me Trinity sounds like an ideal project for him, but he may well just shrug his shoulders.
Slightly OT: I had an uncle who was a hugely successful Doctor, one of the very first to open a medical practice in the 80's and then expand. Yet he and my Aunt used to travel to France for four weeks every year in the most rubbish 20 year old camper van you've ever seen. I never got it, he never seemed as wealthy as I thought he was and never seemed all that happy. When he died four years ago he left an estate worth 28 million to be split between his four children and a bit for hangers on like me . My laboured point is that he hardly spent any of his great wealth either on himself or anyone or anything else whilst alive - I'll never understand the rich or the posh
