We still played faster rugby than we have done for years Was always looking to get rid of the ball when been tackeld, backing up was good too.. Far better than the one man rugby we have been used to for the last 3 year .WPs is transforming the way we are playing ,and by the look of it out fitness and long may it continue

Be interesting to see what the changes in the line up , presumably escare won’t play even if we’ve extended his loan , tj is out due to failing the hia, but we do have max back. Wonder if Croft might play in centre with hall on wing ?

Indeed, conditioning seems to be a big factor. I think we've finished stronger than the opposition in every game so far. If we're in it at half time, there's a good chance of a win.

That could make us weak defensively on the left though. A centre/wing partnership takes time to gain understanding. I've been impressed by how quickly TJ and Hall have learnt to combine. Hall seems to be a real natural talent. His vision and decision making belies his years.

Agree with you re taking time, but as far as I can see unless someone’s fit that we don’t know about you have to some how get a centre winger combination out of hall Croft Murphy not easy

Think Willy must have known at start of season or be prescient , so this weekend we are lacking tj, tupou, kershaw , Lineham , minns and Gaskell ?

Shame escare isn’t an option as other than tj none of the others are likely to be available any time soo.

Think we are only missing a winger .Kay is steady away till Tupo, is fit Other two wingers are two are long term .Given up on Gaskell and with Mimms think they are back up players

Bill is not a winger these days.

Kay is a way way way way way better winger than Tuopu IMHO, Bill was poor for us until he moved to the centre, Kay is and always has been a top-notch finisher.

I hope to see Kay progress at 9 but we are incredibly lucky to have such a quality winger available to us.

Bill 203 games - 78 tries

That says it all, and frankly, I don't think the opposition mean very much to those stats.

The one nobody is mentioning is Davetanivalu who you'd think might be ready for a run out though he didn't even play in the reserves last week.

I’m sure it was said he went off in the previous reserve game clutching his arm/shoulder. Not sure how reliable that is but that maybe why.

As for wingers this week there’s only two options imo. Murphy to left wing or Kay moves to left and Tanivalu comes into right wing if fit.

At least we have options open to us but id personally change as little as possible for this repeat game vs wire and give Murphy another shot.

TBH they aren't really big gambles. Murphy is no more a risk than any other debutant and army Dave did actually play RL as a youngster so it's not that foreign to him.

Personally, I'd go with Murphy again, played well in the reserves without any obvious lack of confidence. Don't think either of Warrington's wingers are all that big?

Bit off topic but as the game is on premier sports does anybody know a pub around wakefield thats going to show it live ive had a look around but cant seem to find anywhere that has premier sports coverage
