As for the former player I was talking to it would be unfair to name him on here as he is still connected to the club. He told me he had heard that Mason would pull out on Friday and it looks like he was right. So we will just after wait and see what reason WP gives for Mason not playing.

It's clear Mason is recovering from injury was upbeat with fans at Halifax. If WP is not happy playing players not 100% then he gets my vote. Last night's effort although a loss did much more for club and it's wider squad with a lot of local lads giving it a good go. I thought Batch at centre was very good playing out of position. Our halves held their own and more and the pack gave it a good go. Some poor plays and poor decisions aside by the team and ref we could have seen a different result. Oh and Corey Hall that kid has got class written all over him 19 years of age what a prospect

On Miller, we have to accept that he is probably past his best. His passing game is very predictable, and offers little creativity as a halfback.
In his defence, as has been said he gives his all and puts his body on the line week in and week out. I would like to see him have a go at hooker.
But in the halves I think both Gaskell and Walker offer more.
