| You cannot blame carter look where we were before he came along hes balanced the books and cleared the debts we accrued yes the team is not performing but it is capable of it first half performances prove it we just need a win any win and build from it i understand its difficult to watch and westerman in his post match interview was really frustrated but have you seen the debts of other clubs wigan and saints in particular we just dont have a sugar daddy to help us out so we have to stay financially secure especially at the minute when pretty much the only revenue is sky money due to the pandemic and no home games for fans perservere we are wakey fans and its second nature to expect this!

I've never managed to find out why as a club we've never approached one of the largest corporations in the world, who seem to sponsor other sports, namely Coca-Cola. They have the most famous brand name in the world and here they are =#FF0000in our own city
Surely they could splash a million or two out of their countless billions on little old local club, Wakefield Trinity RLFC. OR have we approached them previously and been told to "Get lost"?

| Hull ,Wigan Huddersfield, drop lucky because they located at a football ground ,Salford got help from a millionaire before the council took on the det.Wires got help from the council.St chairman came out and said he wishes he was back at old ground because the new one cost a fortune to run. Leeds drop lucky because of Yorkshire cricket. no they are renting some of the Stands so it does not show up on balance sheet .All are way in det.We are one of the club's who are just about solvent.,Yet people come on here and slag of the Chairman and Co .The only thing wrong with them .they have admited the do not no a lot about rugby ,so have got to put there trust in people that do

Seem to remember they were approached back in the day (early 90's ?). The line from them was that the company don't do the type of sponsorship that we wanted on a local basis.

| There's never been any money at Wakefield trinity so it's nothing new but there has been plenty of debt in the past we even lost the ground due to debt so if we all look at what has really happened since M carter took over .we have minimum debt and we appear to be on a sound financial footing we now are in control of our own destiny with our ground hopefully getting redeveloped, I think we've made a lot of solid progress since he took over what was an absolute basket case ,I know the team is struggling at the moment but hopefully things will change ,some clubs are very lucky to have a sugar daddy pumping money in every year we've never had one ,some of the supporters of other clubs take the mickey out of us but there clubs wouldn't even be able to carry on without a sugar daddy so taking things in perspective I think we've done petty well all things considered.

I think we did have a benefactor back in the 60's by the name of Ronnie Fell, but he died quite suddenly I believe, and so did his money.
All speculation at the time, but it's ironic that we were a top team with his influence and financial support, the benefit of which lasted throughout the 60's.
Our limited success in the late 70's came from the club lottery and probably some borrowing!
Our survival since then has been a miracle in itself, although we would have gone bust a couple of times had it not been for money from the council.

| Don't think Ronnie fell put the kind of money in that Hudds ,st helens , Wigan ,Warrington and other clubs sugar daddy's have put into there clubs to keep them going and signing players they carnt really afford but agree he did put money in,also Stuart Hatfield put money in and somehow created the top team of 1960s .as for Wmdc think they got the ground as collateral for any money they lent us and then I think we bought it back at a higher price.

| I know of a possible "sugar daddy" who lives In a smart well-heeled village to the south of Wakefield. He is (was) a very wealthy businessman/entrepreneur who has in the past had an involvement with Wakefield Trinity and has helped out many lost causes in the sporting field n the past including snooker football and even Wembley stadium.I'm sure he would be interested if MC went knocking on his door. Oh!...Er!.....Perhaps not!!!!.

So as we sell RL from the back of a van (BV) Wigan sell it from Oxford street (JJB).
I can only assume you’ve been to neither ground or you wouldn’t post such guff would you steff.'"
But you own the van mate, the rent Wigan pay for the Oxford Street shop is crippling them. How much longer will Lenners keep stumping up.
