Quote Schunter="Schunter"Well it felt like that for most of last year! And anyway the reasons why he doesn't get enough ball are irrelevant, we have probably the best player we've had in Superleague we should be ensuring we give him as much ball as possible end of.'"
It doesn't work like that. If you just pass it to him at every opportunity the opposition will just line up in front of him.
If the forwards don't draw the players in to the middle or Lyne doesn't pull them to the right then you just make him an easy target.
I agree it needs to get to him but good ball not every ball.
Also, I've seen a few comments about his individual tries.
There is no doubt his individual skill made the try but the opportunity came because of his team mates skills, vision and effort.
The first came because our half backs decided to go for a play near their own line. Most don't do that. We gave him a one on one because of quick thinking and good quick passes.
The second just looks like individual skill but it is caused because Crowther ran the kicker down when everyone else was waiting, and managed to grab his shirt just as he was kicking. The kick went higher, giving TJ his opportunity.
It's not always just about Tom.
