| Quote Kirmudgeonlyisback="Kirmudgeonlyisback"Spot on !
Think the reality is we dont have the facilities to support 5 games in one day, but am sure leeds will be making money from this or they wouldn't be doing it, so once again bigger clubs probably are doing better -'"
Its 6 games over 3 days! Its only 2 games a day, i suppose it's down to changing facilities.

| It is a loop fixture, which means that we still have a home game at BV, hopefully with a big crowd later in the year.
Same for Leigh V Wigan.
The fly-in-the-ointment is Leeds playing an away fixture at home, but without using 2 grounds (and doubling the TV costs), it's a hard square to circle.
The issue it raises is fairness, should we be having relegation (which I believe we are).
It makes Carter's suggestion of an 11 team league with no relegation and a team coming up next year, all the more insightful (though I think he acknowledged that it was someone else's idea).

| Quote homme vaste="homme vaste"I think you may be missing the point, whilst some of those teams will be classed as the home team, they are both playing a neutral venue, Leeds are playing at home with home advantage yet they are deemed to be the away side.'"
No I am not missing the point at all I understand what is being stated fully.
So the week after say the games are played at Saints And the fixture is Wigan v Saints bearing in mind saints are at 'home' v Salford at Headingley what's the solution. The game needs to get going some will work on our favour some won't just get on with it.
The longer it goes without games in clubs own grounds the messier it gets trying to work home and away fixtures

| Quote wrencat1873="wrencat1873"While I am surprised that we aren't playing Leeds first game, however you try and wrap this up Leeds will be the only club playing at home in this round and yet they are being classed as the away side ??
Remembering that fixtures have only just been released, why the hell aren't they classed as the home side for this fixture - it makes no sense.
As for the other 5 games, so what ? Leeds still get to play at home for their away fixture
'"
Quote wrencat1873="REDWHITEANDBLUE"So what about the other 5 games you say! 5 of those teams will not be getting a home game, had we been playing anyone else what difference would it make?'"
OMG Wakey fans are so upset with lockdown that they won't even be happy to get the game going again as they are the home side but playing away,You couldn't make it up if you tried
Why don't Wakey put a bid in to host all of the early NEUTRAL games?
Although only having the capacity to supply one tank full of hot water for the showers per weekend would probably rule them out
These early games are only played on a piece of grass with no crowds, so what's the big fuss ?

So why do you feel the need to comment, what exactly has it got to do with you? Nothing that’s what.
You’ve come on here just to make snide comments. Stick to the lower leagues and leave SL to the clubs that play in it and the fans who watch it.
Grow up love, there’s still time.

That's easy to answer - at the end of the season someone is going to be relegated. That will most likely to be a team that has played more away games than anyone else.
Secondly, in this example, Wakey have lost a money-spinning home game, as have Leigh against Wigan - I completely understand that, with lockdown, this is a strange point. It's all "If's, but's & maybe's".
Ultimately, what we have is the best the RFL can come up with - and I'm content with it - but to suggest it doesn't affect the honesty of the league is head-in-the-sand talk.

| I have to say, crass as his post is, I kinda agree with Northern. With no crowd, I'm not sure home advantage is quite as significant.
Maybe a bit but not enough to make a big deal about it.
Of course it would be sensible to call it the Leeds home game but it is what it is.

| Easy solution.
This should have been a Leeds home game. When they have an away fixture it should be held at Saints or whichever other stadium is deemed COVID safe. If it’s not a fair competition there shouldn’t be relegation this season.

As they say it’s not what you say it’s how you say it.
Personally right or wrong I’m not going to let it become an excuse, I think we are out of those.
Also I’m not sure what home advantage there is without a crowd. It was the south stand mob that won Leeds all those off sides and forward passes not the pitch or stands. Without them to most players its now just a patch of grass and another changing room. Don’t think Leeds even train there not even in summer. If there is an advantage it’s far smaller than it would be under normal circumstances, as I say, no excuses.

| Trinity playing a home game against Leeds at Headingley is ridiculous.
Not rocket science to class it as a Leeds home fixture surely?

Agreed
Simple solution and common sense.
It would be understandable if some games had already been played but, this is round 1
