| Quote homme vaste="homme vaste"Must admit I haven't seen much of this lad, saw him a couple times for the Warriors a few years back and he looked a really good prospect.
As Vasty said, lets give him a chance to actually play before we judge him, players take on different roles in different teams, it`s no use looking at his organisational skills and long kicking game in a side that has Mitchell Pearce in it, he will obviously take the reins in the coaches plans.
Comes with a good wrap from Newcastle fans which is always good (Aussie fans are notoriously ruthless when it comes to judging players) and also a 3 year deal fills me with confidence that the club 1. Think he is the right choice for us and 2. We are building for the future, rather than just looking at next year.
With player recruitment looking good and the positive stadium news dare I say I am feeling very positive about the next couple of years.'"
I like the way the Knights fans refer to him as a 'midget'! His stats state he is 5'9'', not a midget for a HB. I know there are some monsters in the NRL but I think he's big enough to survive either comp. God knows what they would think of Hampshire or the Wood twins

| For me, would love For him to turn out to be our very own version of a younger Albert kelly . Who ever thought he was anyone when her signed him?
Might just be what we need right now and let’s be honest we’d have snapped Kelly’s hand off if he’s have been available to us right now after last season.

| If his defence is up to scratch then he should be ok.
Just hope he doesn't get walked on every week by the big guys.
I'll get me coat.

| Give the lad some time to settle in to our style of play and I’m sure he’ll reward us with plenty of quality plays and here’s hoping we’ve unearthed another gem who’s gone under the radar, and going to rip it up over here .

| From the comment by a sports journo at the Newcastle Herald he sounds like just the player we need;
"An organising playmaker with good kicking game and outstanding goal kicker. Lovely bloke as well."

His goal kicking is an area where he has improved a lot.
When he arrived at the Knights he was kicking at less than 70% success rate, and for the last few years he is over 80% and rarely misses from anywhere but the sideline. I think he was selected for firstgrade a few times mainly for his goal kicking.
He was mostly coached by Rory Kostjaysyn in reserve grade for the last few years, as well as getting kicking and playmaking skills coaching from Scott Dureau, and working with those two old playmakers, as well as regularly opposing Mitchell Pearce in opposed sessions, has improved his game.
As someone said in an earlier post, it's hard to get a handle on his playmaking skills from watching him play alongside Mitchell Pearce in firstgrade, because Mitch does the lion's share of the playmaking, but in reserve grade he has been steadily improving at the Knights.
You can see a lot of his NSW cup stats here - which give a better idea of his playmaking stats.

| I personally think his NRL record is fairly unimportant as it usually is. The fact that he’s played in it and won a full time contract indicates the lad can play. Not holding down a regular spot tends to show the depth of the NRL talent pool more than anything else.
What I tend to like about these south see islanders or whatever you want to call them is their willingness to adapt to new environments. Many native born or less be honest white Australians struggle to adapt to U.K. life. To these Samoans in this case it’s just another place to make their fortune. They don’t seem lumbered with home sickness because they were already away from home in some respects.
Also they seem to offer each other a support network, not just in their new club but throughout the U.K. game.
If he comes with the right attitude, fits in and joins the above I recon it may work out. I’m more confident with this lad than I would be with an established Aussie player.
Fingers crossed.

| Speaking of Rory Kostjaysyn I see Jake Granville, his successor at the Cowboys, is available...now he would make a difference for us
