A winger can only have so much influence on a game of Rugby league, I remember Ben Ikin a couple seasons back on NRL 365 out right saying Valentine Holmes was one of the finest wingers to ever play the game! A year later he was playing fullback why would they want to move him from a position he was deemed to be one of the best in the world at? You see it all over the NRL, they take there best players in terms of natural ability and make sure that they have as much influence on a game as possible, that said there training on the technical aspect of these specialist positions is way beyond anything that we see in Super League
