Didn't think he would be match fit, but he was outstanding.
Looking forward to seeing in action next season.

Opta says he made 14 though he missed a few as well.
Made 106 metres with ball in and too which was what we wanted from him.

Although he didn't get the ball, I thought his energy to get level with Dixon made the difference to him knocking on his second miss too.

Never spoke to a fan who anything but positive things to say about Kirmo - he's given his heart and soul for the club every time he's pulled on the jumper, even when he was clearly busted and shouldn't have been on the pitch.

I reckon he'll go another year but with a reduced role - a bit like Wigan do with O'Loughlin - and he'll deserve that; I hate to think that he'll smash himself to bits for another season and retire totally crocked.

Kirmond has put his body on the line in the run in this season, good on him.

I think his return helped turn us around, top tackler on Friday, you just can't knock that. No longer an attacking threat but every now and then he could still help out, especially if we run reserves this season.

Coaching the reserves next year, but will still be registered to play as a player,
Hopefully this is just in case we have a repeat of this year and are struck with injuries and have no one left.

As his time of playing 10+ games has come.

If that’s the case I’d be very happy for us and Danny

The team will get his experience when it’s needed
The young lads will learn from a true club legend
And Danny can move on to the next stage of his career with Trin

He looked mentally exhausted, white as a sheet In fact
Yet he gave a great account of him self on the pitch regardless

At his testimonial dinner the other week Matty Ashurst spoke about the positive influence Danny K had at the club and said he can't imagine Wakefield without him. Think he will do a brilliant job for the reserve team, he's seen the highs and also the very lows of Wakefield and stayed around where many wouldn't have. Great to see he will still be playing a part whilst talking a bit of a backseat on the playing side

If this is correct then I think that's fantastic and exactly what DK has earned.

He's just the type of player you want around the club in whatever role he takes on ,as his commitments to this club has been outstanding and if that persona and work ethic rubs off onto the youngsters I can see only good coming from the match up
