I’m not going to get embroiled in detailed discussions on this.

But there is a lot of mis-truths out there and I told his agent last week, that I’m happy to go public with the whole saga if he is. Talks are ongoing but things have changed since the offer was made on April 30th and ignored for 70 days!

I certainly didn’t want major details, sorry if that was the impression. I was just interested to know whether negotiations were still happening and there was a chance he might stay.

Interesting reading the off the record rumour page. Which tbf isn't far off with accuracy that another club has made rocky a contract offer which was less than we had. Both he and more so his agent. Show me the money. Think he's worth more.. Hope we keep him but if his agent thinks he's worth more then fair enough.

Fine I can accept that, I did make it rather clear it was not from anyone involved.

Rocky is our best player, so for 70 days the coach comes into work, shares the same working space with Rocky, travels with him to away games, one would hope that presumably they talk tactics, have lunch etc etc and not once did the coach think it might be a good idea to mention the offer the club had made, to get some feedback, to see how the lad felt about the offer. Perhaps even suggest to the Chairman or who ever has ultimate responsibility re player signings that would it be a good idea to have a meeting with Rocky to discuss feelings and a way forward. The coach must have been concerned that he was in danger of loosing his prize asset. Then again our coach didn't think we were in a relegation battle so maybe it is conceivable that the coach and player haven't had a chat.
