Also isn't Baldwinson Walkers replacement - think that people are forgetting that he and Randall are actually 2018 signings. Baldwinson is 23 6'3'' and 15+ stone so he's big enough, bags of experience. He's down as a prop on some sites but a 13 on others which is a bit confusing - seems a bit large for a 13 tbh

Finally I understand why we want a prop/forward - to me packs win prizes - but it wouldn't imho be vital - we seem to have a prop obsession every year.

For me we could do with another prop but if hirst does resign then its not vital to get one but would be preferable.

What I think we do need is another half. It showed this season with Miller missing 3 months that cover is vital in such an important position and it was a good job we had Williams. It sound like we dont have a quota spot left and I am not sure if the under 19 halves are quite ready for the step up yet so I would be looking at somebody like Jamie Ellis or Marty Ridyard. Now I have just plucked these names off the top of my head and I am not saying it will be either of these 2 just that it should be somebody like that.

Yes, I am fully aware that Kopzcak is contracted and was in 2016. Last year it was more of a comment just prior to the MPG last year and who would be worth taking from whoever went down.

Sorry, I know it's part of the fun but some of the stuff you here is a bit dodgy. I'd love the lad to sign but it seems extremely unlikely imho.

It's not a reason to sign him, but hasn't Mossop had a rough time personally recently? Didn't his young child die? That's bound to have a serious impact on his enthusiasm.

As for Springer, he always seems full of great bursts in short spells but he doesn't have that consistent grind you get with players like England.

I've heard Wakey are trying their best to get Pauli Pauli and are waiting on his decision. Think that would he would be a good catch if it came off. However, I do think that they need to concentrate on a securing a quality half-back to replace Sam Williams. Someone to work well alongside Miller as although Finn has got a rugby brain he is just far too slow.

Quite a few have said the same about Michael Dobson and Luke Walsh.

I've come to terms with Finny's speed. All his other skills out way that issue.
I consistently proves that his speed between the ears is good enough.
Unless we are signing Cooper Cronk, Finny is the guy for us.
We just need a young keen backup for cover.

They do outweigh his pace granted, but I have noticed a few times, where he has created a gap for himself, but just hasn't been quick enough to get through that gap before he has been closed down.

As we have seen this year, the difference between winning and losing can be a fine line. That split second bit of pace could well make a lot of difference

Isn't that how it's supposed to work, he makes the gaps Miller and co. exploit them.
