| I have been reading the same rumour on the Hull KR board as well as ours.
Their version is that yes, he has played his last game for them and is Wakefield bound, but not as a loan deal. As a swap for Jacob Miller.
If this is the case, then I don't think we should even go there. I would happily see him here though as cover, and would also consider using him as an impact player off the bench, say like Burrow, Obst and Godinet.

| A swap with Miller is only a deal in favour of KR.
I liked Kelly when he was at his best but as said above he's a Sammut. He's not the guy when you want to play structured team play. Especially when he is out of form.
We are better than that now. We don't have to make these kind of deals to take has beens.

| what's the point in finally getting Miller to the point of showing consistently good form and swapping him with a player yet to prove himself. I don't know a lot about Kelly but if he was that good he'd be making a name for himself wouldn't he?

| No that makes zero sense. We finally get Finn and Miller playing well together and Miller playing his best rugby for us full stop. We are supposedly prepared to risk all that and swap him for a complete unknown quantity, as far as working well with Finn/ the rest of the lads. Plus, if he's not willing to bust a gut at Hull KR, what makes anyone think he's gonna for us.
If there's something not right with him at Hull KR, why would we do them the favor of taking him off their hands. Especially when we're in direct competition with them as far as the League goes.
I'll believe when I see it.

| we don`t have any cover at half back, we have players like Hall, Tansey and Jowitt who would give it a good go. To have a player of Kelly`s quality in the squad would be fantastic. He is undoubtedly a first class half back, a genuine match winner. If we find ourselves in the middle 8`s , Kelly would , could make the difference. If we have the chance of getting him we would be mad not to take him.

| If he came as cover, for me it would depend on how fit he is and how much money we'd have to pay. Thought he was one of Hull KR'd bigger earners.
You have to wonder if it's true why they're wanting rid, especially with plenty of injuries anyway at Hull KR and still plenty of the season left.

| I seem to recall around Christmas I had heard he was involved in some kind of trouble in Hull.
Could his and Hull KR's problems have snowballed from this, and that is why Hull KR are apparently wanting rid.

| This is a tricky one indeed.
I can’t believe anyone thinks we can last the season with two H/B’s one of whom is great but knocking on in years. There is no doubt we need backup sooner rather than later, for me it’s an
absolute fact.
Is Kelly the right kind of player. Well he’s unfit for a start and that is always a worry - we all remember that fat burger guzzling prop from a few years back. Even worse he’s joining a team who’s game is heavily based on stamina IMO. Still he wouldn’t hopefully go straight in so he’d have time to get fitter.
What really worries me is that Kelly is a really good player and the temptation to play an unfit him at the slightest sign of a blip would be overwhelming and this could destroy moral at a stroke.
If we are fortunate enough to get this talented maverick then it must be made clear from the start that he will have to wait for his chance and that wait could be a long one.
