Quote Scarlet Pimpernell="Scarlet Pimpernell"We knew he was not being offered another contract so his departure was expected but not the timing. I would remind those in charge that selling and uncertainty do not help sell season tickets.'"
It's the middle of August and already the doom mongers are out.
It's about money and no one knows what either Richie Mathers or Richie Moore were asking.
Has been mentioned that Webster wanted to keep Mathers but the board wouldn't let him.
That tells me the figures weren't right.
Moore was probably worth another year but nothing has come out about Webster wanting to keep him, so a mutual agreement has been the best outcome for both parties.
Moore gets himself fixed up with another club to prove his worth and we save some coin, that maybe put to improving an existing player contract.
Sometimes people have to look past the end of their noses and have a bit of confidence in the financial turn around of the club in the last 12 months and the improvement of performances under Webster.
Don't think we will be having 3 of our overseas arriving 3 days before kick off next season!
