| On the Wildie issue, we have Mcshane, Godinet and Sammut who can all cover nine do we really need another on the bench?
Siejka maybe showing enough to force himself on the bench but to play him then means switching one of Godinet or Sammut about, that might prove either counter productive or a waste of a sub?
On the squad in general for this game I think we need more forwards on the bench than a spare back so I'd see them both missing out (Wildie and Siejka) anyway.
On the youth development it isn't the season to worry about it.
If or when we are in a less perilous state maybe then we might see more opportunities, but there are better options at the moment IMO and as Vasty says it's becoming something of a red herring. There's plenty of youth development they might not necessarily be ours though but equally ours end up somewhere else??

| It's never easy to juggle developing youngster with winning games. I'd personally have given more opportunities to our young lads although with the added pressure of P & R back on the cards it's now even harder to give them experience.
Although, I do believe if a player is in form, or a team for that matter then why change anything unless it'll make a marketd difference? I feel sorry for some of the young lads as there are games where they've played brilliantly only to be left out of the squad/team for the next fixture for an established player who is either playing out of position or isn't any better.

The point is to get players better than Wildie in the future.
You really need to think about a user name change.

| I wouldn't be surprised if Agar did drop Wildie for the Aussie lad and I would be cheesed off if I was Wildie, after showing loyalty to a club and coach that have rarely given him a long run and chance in the first team.

| Being Jordans dad,I have to say,I agree whole heartedly that survival this year is paramount and the strongest team should be picked every game.If you get to ask Jordan the same question I know for a fact he will say the same.he's had a sniff at Super League and obviously wants more, but I know and Jordan knows his time will come so whatever team RA picks has got the full support of the Crowther household.

| Quote Wakey Til I Die="Wakey Til I Die"Insightful as ever.
Sorry but thats my opinion on the subject. If i ever see our own given an even chance then i'll consider joining back up. But whilst we drop a player like Wildie (and yes he is fit btw) who has done a good job in the last two games to pick an aussie out of position (with just 4 first grade games experience 2 years ago) then i'll say again, whats the point? It will keep happening thanks to the backwards thinking of getting shut of licensing. A policy our own club voted for. May as well spend the brass on beer on the ground and help pay for the next loan player. Yes i'm pretty pished off about it.'"
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but, opting in and out of the scheme based on the weekends team selection is just plain daft.
Regarding the 1873 scheme, the people who don't commit to this are the same people who complain that we aren't producing enough decent juniors.
FWIW, I think Wilde should be in this week, so that we can spell McShane but the key for all of us this season is SL survival.
Nothing else matters.
Finally, I think that you need to cut the club some slack. 4 1/2 months ago we were on the brink of Admin. and now, thanks to MC & Co, we have a competitive squad and a decent chance of playing SL rugby next season

| Wakey team for me should be...
Mathers
Fox
Collis
Lyne
Riley
Sammut
Godinet
Anderson
Mcshane
Scruton
Kirmond
Lauitiiti
Tautai
Subs. Smith, Raleigh, Ryan and Siejka (gamble for first game against arguably best team in Super League.... Wildie would have been safer option IMHO).

| You r wasting your time khlav, wakey till I die and willzay folk on here would follow the pied piper they don't give a damn as long as there a issues second rate or not .yea inside man do you think wildie as had affair chance to prove himself like walshaw, like cowling 10 mins here and there against to opposition. Right kinley you say siejka maybe showing enough in training fair enough let's see, eh on the youth development I'm going tomorrow ain't seen owt yet accept possibly the winger johonstone who could hold a candle to the team we let go a few seasons ago , I said all last season that the u 16s who we were told were gonna be the saviors of the club hadn't played any one of note, how have they done this season, I'll give my opinion after saints tomorrow and I'll eat humble pie if I'm wrong. Right Mr Harrison we've had the players but its been too much like hard work to develop them , we won the u18s academy title what more do you want, easy enough to say kear didn't do owt with em but there were plenty of em playing with our u20s during agars reign , you've only to look at the form shown by Frankie Mariano to show how flawed agars judgement is. I've seen Ryan and he ain't as good as walshaw, haven't seen harry yet but he's an Aussie must be good eh dreadnought. Has for vast man I dismiss owt you say , you try to be an intellect but your comments show me you very little about the game although you try your best to make folk think you do

| Quote Adam_Harrison9="Adam_Harrison9"To me, questions need to be asked as to why we aren't producing players capable of making the step up. They should be developing a lot better during their younger years in the academy, instead of us throwing them into the Super League in the hope that they improve drastically with super league experience. A lot of youngsters that go onto be good Super League players it's already obvious they have the talent at the ages 21-22 and then it's all about breaking them in slowly. Obviously there are exceptions.'"
go and watch the U16s tomorrow Vs St Helens, Win, Lose or Draw they'll show you that some of our youngsters have real quality and some of those on show tomorrow will be U15s.
Think about Max Jowitt, Jordy Crowther, Harry Swann and a few others from the U19s but are actually U17s and you'll see that there is some quality coming through
