Ossett Academy 18 Vs 8 St Wilfreds

A tough uncompromising game between two good teams. Ossett had a large number of regulars missing and could only field 13 players (no subs).
Ossett also had to call on no less than 6 year 9s who all played the full game and acquitted themselves very well. Wilfred's were also missing a couple of regulars but they were soundly outplayed throughout the game with Ossett having 3 tries dissalowed.

The game was played to a very high standard and both teams take great credit for that.

Are Ossett the former Sandal? Sorry to have to ask. I do like to dip into this thread to see what all you proud dads/coaches are up to, but it's only an occasional foray.

Sandal Spartans are now just Spartans RLFC and are a community club playing in the Yorkshire Junior League.
Ossett Academy is a school, the above result Vs St Wilfred's is that of a school fixture

That's a good result wilfs are a very good team at yr 10,my lad played up a year a couple of weeks ago for cas academy against them,the game finished 34-14 to cas but it was uncompromising to say the least but the two lads that were asked to play up a year both had good games and I'd like to think it will help take their game to another level.

We handled it well

Been the highlights of the draw with the top 3 from yorks and Humber all drawing each other,
A trip to Milford for cas panthers which again won't be easy by any means.

Has the Dewsbury Moor / East Leeds game been played ? - I can't find a result anywhere .

There'll be some strong sides going out early
