It is not a target.
Neither is it evidence that the salaries are ok just because we are under it. You could still be under it by having 5 over paid players and the rest on average contracts. It is on a case by case basis as to whether the salaries are justified.
Also, when we are talking about sales and marketing people, they are not judged on the salary the retain, it is their worth comparing their salary with income received.
They can be on a million if they bring in 2 million. Again, case by case knowledge needed.
Lets not just lump every employee together on this. Some are probably better than others but unless you are in the know for all the salaries, you don't know.'"
Just trying to look at it from what players maybe going where and who is OCC at end of season. We are in a position where we have extended the contracts of players with a year left who are valuable assets. We possibly wouldn't have been so far up the creek if we had not signed Lyne, Taitau, Molloy and Fozzard. Mellars still has a year to run. So why would you re sign L.Smith and Ali when they are OCC this year. A chance to get two big salaries off the budget and with Tuson coming in. |

I dont believe Ali is on a big budget, his age and the minutes he pays he wont be on alot. Nor was he on alot at Leeds.
No point moaning about it now, whats done is done.
We've just got to dig deep in our pockets buying (Merchandise etc), the more we spend the less chance we have to sell our players.

I know fact that Tommy Lee got a £40k pay out and walked straight into a £60k contract at London, netting him a nice £100k total for the year....he must have been ing himself !! in between that there were a whole host of others also paid off and even into 2013....Andy Ellis had a year or two left to run on £80k he didn't just say ok I will go to Fev he took a wedge also. Vince Mellars on over £100k....who is paying him whilst on loan at Fev ? I can assure you its certainly not Fev who pay only a small portion of his pay !! Isaac John.....He got paid out after he had negotiated a nice deal back to the NRL......all the Aussies usually get houses and cars paid for by the club.....as well as business class air fares for them and the family to go back to Oz every year..........its an absolute joke !!
I would have expected Andrew Glover to have seen this as ridiculous but he too surprisingly allowed this drain to continue as he was clearly ill advised.
I bet when he looks at his bank balance now he wishes he had not bothered. I admire what he did and he has also been funding this madness to an extent, to the point where he cant do it any more
Hopefully the man at the helm now will put an end to the ridiculous way that this club (and many others) has operated in the past.
It just suprises me that the main culprits to this madness are still involved !!'"

really ? I doubt that very much......honouring contracts is not their responsibility just because a coach made an error in judgement.
That may have been the spin that certain surviving staff members (no names mentioned of course) put on it but it came from the club as all of them did. It does make you wonder what was going through their heads when the cheques were being signed ?? |

That's the point I don't no if I am in it or not my last payment was January where is the 40k per year lottery manager. Never doubt my commitment snowie I got 3 lads from local pub to sign up and my old university mate from macclesfield who also pays his way in to A few home games per year. |
