Feeling pretty good now though. We might not have travelled in big numbers but we made some cracking noise.

| 2 from 2 playing Monday night games. A win against Widnes to make it 3 would be superb next Monday.

Indeed, a win vs Widnes plus one of the two Leeds games would leave us on 21 points and realistically targeting 2 out of 3 wins from Saints, Bradford and Cas at home. Cant see us getting much change at the McAlpine or the HJ.
Would 25 points be enough? Last year we would have finished 9th with that.

| Lets not kid ourselves here, FC were pretty awful and we weren't much better skill wise - BUT we never gave in and showed some terrific determination and effort when we went behind in the 2nd half to rescue the game and nick a win that we probably on balanced deserved.
Massive performance from Kirkmond and Amor among others and our big game players stood up when it counted.
Unlucky with the decision on the try with the Ellis offload/knock on, but equally fortunate with the Poor decision that he should have walked for. We've been in these scrappy, low quality affairs many, many times and I suppose all that matters at this point is the 2 points that could have easily slipped away.
I believe they call it "winning ugly", and sometimes you need to do that to have any chance of getting into the play offs - all the better teams do it.
Effort is all the fans generally want from their side and that was there for all to see last night and that effort carried us through.
Well done lads.

I couldn't disagree more.
What is it with Wakey fans (and I'm just as bad) but why do we always put ourselves and the games we play in down. We don't need to Eddie and Stevo will do that for us.
Collis pass to Fox, Smith 40/20, Smith kick and Fox take, Mathers pass and Amors break, Kirmonds chase all sublime RL and as good as any team can do.
Some games for some reason produce a high error count but it's not always a lack of skill - last night Hulls defence was tough if a little patchy was the reason for me.
Last night you witnessed a lot of skill with some top notch tries on offer - rejoice

Completely agree. I was always told the opposition play as well as you let them. You could say they tried to drag us down to their level by watering the pitch for over an hour before the game, but our skill shone through

To be honest, without looking for an argument as I have better things to do this afternoon, I think you have backed up my point:
Quote vastman="Tommy Duckfingers"

'"
On the top of the huge effort from certain individuals in the pack, a couple of glimpses from Smith, Colles et al the quality left a fair bit to be desired, and on those bits of brilliance the game was won.
Don't get me wrong, entertainment wise it was edge of your seat stuff, and a bit similar in ways to the home fixture against hull when we were on the wrong end of the scoreline. We still need massive improvement if we want to beat the teams around us in our quest for that elusive 8th play off spot, enjoy the win for what it was but lets not get carried away.
And for the record, I don't need Eddie, Steveo, other posters on the board or anybody else to help me form an opinion of what I am watching.
So there.
