I have supported wakey for 37 seasons Blaymire is one of the better fullbacks we have had Les Sheard being the best maybe Spencer 2nd can't think of many better after that

TBF to Blaymire he made one mistake that I can recall, he was left hopelessly exposed on numerous occasions as saints poured through gaps in midfield and out wide, but still was in the right place at the right time to snuff out a number of dangerous plays by saints.

Why people are criticising Blaymire when Kevin Penny performs like he has done tonight is frankly beyond me.
We need Penny out of the team not Blaymire

I like Matty, apart from tonight he usually has that goalkeeper quality to him (not the cat joke please) but I just think Murphy has that Wellens/Briscoe quality to him and he'll only get better.

Was out of position in defence numerous times and we never get him in the gap to utilise his pace, so he offers us nothing. In most cases it isn't even that he needed to cover for Dean as he was there. He just seems to get attracted to the ball carrier and has no sense of where the opposition winger is.

I liked the idea of Penny to track back when they broke the line ala Danny Brough but Penny just couldn't be bothered once he reaslied he's not as fast as he once used to be. Maybe the fitness regime is all wrong at the club, who knows?

Agree he made that one mistake under the high ball, which tbh should have been claimed by either of the 2 players who were right next to it, he came from deep and had to make about 30 yards and from the looks of it the ball curvered in the air.
Penny so far is a waste of a wage, he's terrible in defense and is out of position most of the time, which puts pressure on his team mates. He seems to have very little rugby skill, except for being quick which isn't enough at this level.

Think is he aint got a clue of where to be. The last breakaway try was a classic example. Before he gave up 40m out, he ws running in a straight line paralel to the saints player whereas if he had run diagonally with his pace he would have stood more chance of getting near him.

I must also be a fool as I've never been a fan of Blaymire either. In fact, you shot me down on another thread this week for saying I felt Blaymire was dodgy under the high ball.
