Probably, but then Jeffries was bizarrely signed up on a three year contract, so perhaps this is more down to age and the fact he only started 4 games in the season just passed. |

Hope he goes well but I must admit i've never rated him as a halfback. Still better than nothing I suppose which is about the limit of our ambition.

Came over as a stand off but never set the world on fire there and, to some extent, only kept his place in the side because Richie Myler became completely and utterly awful mid season after he'd been tapped up by Warrington. Was moved to scrum half last season but lost his place quite quickly to Matty Smith. Came back into the squad in the second half of the season as a hooker alongside Malcolm Alker and played pretty well there. |

Can't say i've been impressed when i've seen him play. Hopefully he's lined up as a hooker as he is certainly not the SH we require. Tommy Lee is apparently also signed up which would indicate Smith will play in the halves. Knowing JK he'll probably play Smith at loose forward.
