There used to be a poster on here called Voaksey. He would never stop telling us how the the club should be run. I wonder if he will come forward to show us how its done.

In fairness, there are areas I think I could improve at the club - however I don't have the cash!

Clearly it's looking bleak for him now he's trying to play the good PR game.
Only in a sport that's more poorly managed than it's member clubs, can such a situation be allowed to go on as long as it has.

It should all be resolved sooner rather than later if talks are already in progress.
This is about the time the media kick in and start throwing names and figures around.


IMO in as little as a few months we will be looking back from a much stronger position and will see this announcement as the moment in time when the change officially began.

Think the board has had its time with little investment in the club ... They have held the club back imo but hopefully the damage is not perminent and we can get some money into the club in a new stadium ... Still, a bit late for me and there decison to get rid of Brough this season was an absolute JOKE !!!!

Get real the writing is on the wall guys surely even the hard core fans must realise this is him jumping ship as the Super League bubble is about to burst. Quins are going nowhere and neither are Castleford or Salford. This leaves Wakey unfortunately and Widnes are coming up thats already a foregone conclusion.
I for one think it stinks and to remove wakefield will be a travesty and a disgrace, but the bottom line is that this WILL happen and Richardson is the reason that this will happen. He has been holding out for a sainsbury's land purchase and a big payday and that is not going to happen for sure, and now the Super League gravy train is coming to its last stop, he now wants out and to get a payday from an unsuspecting millionaire !!

But the council aren't building two grounds. Yorkcourt/Community Trust are building ours and Cas allegedly are building/funding their own.

By the way, not for one minute doubting your info. In fact I'd laugh my wotsits off if it happens, given all the bluster we've had from Cas supporters.

You can't know this for definite - because it's not true - at least not for the immediate future. Both clubs have chose to go independently and ours will consist of a design to cater for one anchor tennant - i.e. there is no provision for Cas in the design.

Now what I will give you, is that, if Cas stall on their own development, then NM (as a Community Trust owned facility) would almost certainly be made available to them. Now before any Cas fans come out of the woodwork suggesting that I am anti-GH, that's not what I'm saying will happen by any means.

The decision to build 1 or 2 grounds is not Wakefields. They tried to establish that 2 months ago and failed. Each club believes in it's own ability to deliver a stadium - and as far as I am concerned, we most definitely have the right people and the right processes in place to deliver - and that is the be all and end all to me.

I will decline your bet though - the Mrs would kill me!
