| Why all the insults because Cas have plans to build a new stadium. Good luck to them, personally i will delighted to have Britains biggest water park on our door step.
BUT i am more concerned about the progress of our stadium than our near neighbours, instead of attacking the Cas stadium plans wouldn't it be better supporting and raising the profile of our proposed stadium.

The Jungle is situated on valuable land, =redplus considering the size of it, offers much more scope for building on.'" so it should go for more seeing that its twice the land, so you should get around the £7m mark then

I'm not privy to such information, but there is no reason to suggest why it shouldn't have been sold for that.

No-where near £3.6m I'm afraid. Nor will your land either, which is substantially larger, but is in no more attractive an area - right now at least.
The problem you have is that your deal cannot be fulfilled whilst there is a blast zone - no builder will buy land they cannot build on - and as such Paloma (or whatever the American firm who own the Hicksons site are called) are in complete control of the whole deal.
You do, as I understand it, have a deal in principal which is worth a good amount - but unlocking that value is not easy!

| Forgive me there has been so much crap posted on threads about new stadiums that i don't know what's reality and what's not, but weren't the developers who bought WR wanting to backout/agree a new price for some reason? Also, a while back the Cas board were asking fans to support a push for the WR development to bring it forward as it had been penciled in for 2015 or so?
What happened with this action and was the first point rubbish?

So how much was yours out of interest? Am I right in thinking that one payment was used to clear your debt or something? Too far back to remember exactly.
And the other info you say is correct. Cas do not have access to the money until C6 is cleared etc.

I honestly can't remember the number - which is why I didn't put one - but I seem to remember it was closer to £2m.

That seems a low figure, but I guess that's down to location and size again?

There has obviously been a fall in land prices since the deal was agreed. Whether they can get the buyer to fulfil the deal is a challenge they will face - but only when there is a deal to be done. For now I would imagine it will suit them to work on the figure agreed.
So much to do - for both clubs.
